If you're gonna pull off some aero bits, why not start at the front? The front aero pushes the front of the cars down, so the cars may glide further if you take those off first
Its the front spoiler. Its always the front spoiler. You always pull off the back wing and never the front spoiler, which is why every car always tumbles forward. Try tearing off both.
Try getting the front spitter/wing off, it should not make a huge difference in terms of controll, but it will change the car's flying attitude. Might be enough to go a lot further.
not sure if anyone said this already but the reason the cars do worse when spoiler is removed is because the front splitter was still on, so only the front of the car was being pushed down instead of both front & rear

Mach 20... That faster than orbital sped at sea level. At that speed, the air compressing in front of the car would turn white hot with a bluish tint. Also, the car would melt in a few second.

The first car looks cool (to people with none to little science knowledge of cars) but in reality it would be very slow- the car is entirely hollow and has air cluttering around inside it and shooting out the front, basically a rocket slowing it down

Taking the rear wing off will mean the car pitches nose down because the front end will generate more downforce than the front.
