Yeah, this movie was a good ass time. Maybe it was the crowd energy, but I really enjoyed this. The kids acting in the beginning was a bit hit or miss but other than that, I loved it.
    ****SPOILERS****
I really enjoyed the brother/sister relationship they built here. Had me crying at the end.
Also, my favorite part of the movie was when ol girl knocked one of the bullies with a rock, causing him to fall and start bleeding from his head.. so he crawls away, outta the fight, and leans up against the fence. Then, SHE gets hit hard and crawls over to the fence next to the guy she hit earlier. And they're both just sitting on the sidelines next to each other like, "damn, we got fucked up." Hahaha

I really liked the movie. It did leave me craving the story behind the grabber because there were moments when you could see something extra behind his conversation to the main character. My favorite movie time era is definitely the 70-80's because of the lack of technology. They had to fight, run, figure out survival

    • @smilealwaysnatasha3423

Yeah I wondered if he had an abusive dad that would lock him in the basement? The belt and the way he sat there in the chair 🪑 daring the kids to escape, and the mask as if the mask represented his father or something. Idk that’s just what I thought.

🏠🏠...I had noticed the two different home addresses in Gwen's dreams.
In Gwen's first vision, Finney is yelling "Help" while pushing himself at the door, trying to get out of a home with *1242 (or something like that)* as the address. The Grabber's brother's "detective work" can be seen in the backdrop as Finn bangs/pushes at the door.
When Gwen is "with" Vance Hopper in the back of the police car, the car takes them to a 7741 address ( _leafless tree in the yard)._
    42:14 = 1242 (or so) 🏠
    1:14:43 = 7741 🏠

I REALLY enjoyed this movie! I don’t get into horror as much as I used to, but, this one, I HAD to see! Honestly, I didn’t really see it as a horror film, even with the supernatural aspect. It was more of a thriller to me. When I think of horror, I think more like The Conjuring, or movies like that, which I WILL NOT watch! I did notice that the Grabber had a type. For him to grab the tougher kids, mostly, definitely lends to the horror aspect. It’s something that would make you think, “If he could get some of the toughest kids out here, no one is safe!” But, he also seemed to take kids that were good at things like sports. I believe that had to be why he took the girl’s brother. He wasn’t really a fighter, like that. I definitely recommend it! I give it 5 saxophones!

Not much of a horror fan, but I do have my favorites from different times. Though, most of my favorites are between 1978 and 1990 like Alien, The Thing, The Shining, Nightmare on Elm Street etc etc. I am not a fan of jump scares these days, because it always felt like cheap scares for me. Like, I can role with one or two jump scares, but after that it's dumb. Torture p**n are also not scary for me coz it's just nasty for the sake of being nasty.

I loved this movie even though it left me hungry for more dets… I loved it the most because it was unpredictable I thought the dad was the grabber then I thought the brother and the grabber was the same person suffering from schizophrenia or biopolar… I was the only person who screamed in the theater when the first ghost kid appeared 😩 🤦🏾‍♀️…. I hope there’s a part 2 that focuses on the mother and the grabbers back story.
I don’t have a specific horror genre actually I usually don’t like any movie in a retro setting but this one was perfect.
