Armando Mejia Takara mate I agree, but at the same time the title of the video makes it seem like they’re going into a ‘deep’ analysis of why dimming our screens is crucial haha seems like heaps of people agree with me! But I get your point, I think it’s applicable for both scenarios in this instance

For the screen dim one... I think the idea is to make sure that if you are in the dark or about to sleep, you dim it down to avoid a bad night's rest. If dim is too low during the day, you can't really see the screen and strain your eyes. Also, automatic dimming drains the battery down. I keep it at 50-60% and dim it down when it is too dark.

    • @stephensnell5707

Actually having a darker screen is better for the battery and will help the battery charge last longer and easier on the eyes too

#2 is True to a degree. Li-Ion batterys don't really like it being charged to a 100%. Over time they loose their capacity faster this way. Charging to only 90 or 95% significantly increases their lifespan. Its also the reason why you don't charge your EV to 100% every night. Thing is, most people won't get by with only 90% battery a whole day. So there is not really a alternative to charging fully.

@@Nystrixx try charging it between meals. It's better (for your battery) to charge it in a few short bursts than overnight - if it reaches 100% it's fine, it'll stop, but once it goes to 98-99% it starts again and makes some heat which is a problem.

The darker the screen the easier it is on your eyes. Staring at a bright screen can damage your eyes. If you are in a bright location like outside in the sunlight then you should turn up the beightness. But if you are in a pitchblack room then you can turn the brightness all the way down and your eyes will adjust without damaging them. Saying that because my mom is blind as a bat and her eyes are worse than 240p on a 50 inch tv.

    Some important take:
Charging: It's wise to start charging at around 20% it go up to around 90%. This way phones doesn't complete a cycle so you get more from your battery in the long run. And if you are not using your phone for some days, keep it at 50%.
Phone emits bad radiation: Just a myth, nothing like that happens.
Multitasking: Keep the frequently used apps on in the background. It saves battery and you get better performance.
Also, I am not sure about the rice because it did worked for me to get the water out of my screen. Maybe it wouldn't work better for lots of water inside but maybe still useful for a little bit of it.

I have to disagree with one item.
Charging overnight does not damage the phone , but it does damage the battery. Think its important to mention.
You said that completely draining the battery hurts it , wel its exactly the same for keeping it full. Li-io/po batteries does not want to be over 80% charge and under 20% charge. So charging the phone overnight keeps the battery at 100% for hours witch then damages the lifespan of the battery( its actually a cell, not battery)
