He deliberately makes Jon Bois style videos, and freely admits that, and the heavy use of awesome music (using the same collection of songs for every single video so that they all feel connected, like part of a set) is one of the signature components of Boisian style documentaries. But Emplemon doesn't just use the same songs that Jon Bois uses, even though that'd be fine if he did. Instead he spent years developing his _own_ soundtrack of a few dozen songs, and like Bois he uses the same songs for every video, and so Emp's videos have their own signature unique style and feeling and vibes to them, just like Jon Bois' videos, just using different songs to Bois, that's all. Whereas TheRealJims and S1apsh0es are trying to do the same thing, but they just use the same songs Emp does, instead of spending the time to find great music that nobody else uses, so that they can develop their own signature style of video. They're just copying Emp instead. But yeah there's nothing inherently wrong with doing that. But it just feels like they're a tribute band, whereas Emplemon is the real band, when in reality both of them are fantastic youtubers who aren't actually a tribute act in reality, they're good and unique in their own right, making wonderful fantastic videos with their own writing style and editing style. So he uses a lot of stuff like small indie songwriter songs that aren't owned by any music label, video game music, movie soundtracks, 8-bit chiptune versions of hit songs (like he always uses Michael Jackson's Billy Jean in his videos, and if he used the real song then tje video would be demonitized immediately within minutes every single time, but if he uses the 8-bit chiptune rendition of the song then he's fine and nobody ever copyright strikes the video, so this is really quite a clever way to be able to include songs like this) etc.

@@duffman18You overlook the fact that Jims had been using this track years before their collab. Not sure when his first usage of it was, but I do know the first of his Simpsons Extra Seconds came out in early 2016 where it’s used in the intro. And that was a little while before EmpLemon started doing his editorial style of videos, and 5 years before the Never Ever video
Heard this at TheRealJims and had to look it up, as it gives his videos a great setting and feeling. This song reminds me of staying in on a rainy day, watching the water wash down the windows with some video game on pause in the background, hearing the raindrops spatter dully on the ground outside with my game music contributing to the gentle background noise. A dull lamp light illuminates the area of my room, as well as the softened brightness of the tv screen I'd plugged my gaming console into. And along with the dark clouds outside an atmosphere of quiet twilight settles like a thick blanket over the area. It's similar to when you are awake in the wee small hours, before the birds are up for the morning chorus, whilst everyone else is still asleep. It's just you and whatever the weather is, and it feels otherworldly. This music has brought such a unique vibe that I have never experienced before. It truly is remarkable. I hope you're very proud of your work, as this is quite frankly astounding. I love this. Well done indeed :)

That's funny cos this song reminds me of Gran Turismo. Specifically grant Turismo 3. I actually thought it _WAS_ from gran Turismo 3 until I finally looked it up just now 5 minutes ago. I guess it's all of that era's racers, they all used music like this. The Japanese ones did anyway. American devs always put in "super totally cool radical rock and roll 😎 piddlypiddlypiddly..." music. Japanese devs at the time were a lot more tasteful music wise Makes me wanna whip out my ps2 and GT3 again. Although I doubt it works anymore.
