GG Ben, congratulations on a solid finish. If you had flatted preFlop, then donk bet all-in on the flop, would your remaining stack have been sufficient to make your opponent fold, given his much larger stack?
Why do you think Artur call with AQ is bad? there was a discussion in his blog about it. The conclusion is - taking to account FGS (future game simulation) call is ok. What do you think? Thanks, Ben. Your content is top!!!
Imo its clearly -ev and so much negative is not possible to make up in the future. Also his current stack has future EV, so you can not only argue with the future EV of gaining chips but also the future EV of your current stack ( which will be gone if you lose).
In the Kd10d hand- You check back the flop. Okay. But then you basically instacall the turn which is a timing tell for weakness (I'm sure you know this), so I'm not sure why you did it if you're not planning on calling a blank river. He's got a huge stack, and when you do that he's going to be shoving the river, what 99% of the time? I just don't know what your plan is for the river unless it's a K or a 10. Thoughts?
@@RaiseYourEdge Yes I understand thats what youre getting at but thats going against everything I've learnt previously. 15bb with antes, no short stacks causing weird icm situations, id of thought that was an obvious jam, yet A4 was a jam on the button with a similar stack (which I agree with). Those equities seem very close to me, I guess im going to have to look into this further
PS, this isnt me trying to say youre wrong and im right. Im just trying to understand why this goes against everything ive seen in every other chart in the past in a situation where I cant see now ICM worries seeing as we are the short stack. If you dont have time to reply thats no problem, thanks for the content. Like I saying im going to look into this to understand why
@@benjaminrolle7004 cheers. Looks like I need to do some more work on these spots. I'm basically just using your normal ranges and tightening up if there is a short stack. Tightening up tons i.e folding everything if there is a 1bb stack for example and pretty much eyeballing it like that. If we are the shortest stack at the table I wouldn't of assumed that our standard shoving ranges would be affected, but it seems it's not that simple and I need to do some work. Thanks again
He didn't, its just a hand that immediately comes to mind because it's a big part of his shoving range in this spot To be more precise, let's say he's shoving sixes through tens you mention the biggest one and it's tens
Im not a pro, Just a casual player, but watching this 2 times I can Tell Artur was exploiting you a Lot, as he knew you were too scared to call a shove or re-raise. By the hands you play with, It feels more like you are waiting for decent hands to either shove or play, but Very often you Just folded good overall hands where you most likely had to call, It doesnt matter How long you want to survive on tournaments, If you are waiting to get good cards or hit good ones, you gonna get blinded out, wait for a hand until you have only 4 blinds to shove and "Hope for the best" is something many casuals do on micro stakes. Again, its Just my opinion, some hands there I would have called because wait for another hand is much worse given your small Stack size
12:01 should have been a call, you already invested 700,000 on the pot and given the time he took to shove he likely had a middle pair or risky KJ, K10, not calling there is like: "ok, what you gonna call with? Wait for better hands is not a option with small Stack". 12:35 as well, you invested 550.000 and cold folded A5 suited to a re-raise that could be anything given the same player re-raised you more than once. You were able to steal some blinds here and there but It doesnt help when you make a raise and cold fold after, thats It.
@@RaiseYourEdge what this have to do with what I Said? There is nothing wrong with giving a better look at How we play. Ex: I know that one of my weak spots in poker is Heads-up, If anyone have a different way of playing and Tell me something about my playstyle, the Last thing I would say is: "you dont have X experience so unvalid point."
@@Insanity-vv9nn Its a valid point because if you would ever run these spots with ICMizer or HRC you would come to the conclusion that A5s and AJo are easy 3bet/folds. So start studying those spots. Take my advice or don't :)
Your chat was right you have may have money to play these tournaments but who the hell 3 bets that high and snap folds. Lmaoo you did it twice and one of those times you basically said “I’ll 3 bet 1/3 of my chips and easily fold an all in”. Folds A5 suited but A8 o/s is a jamming hand. Lmao. Make a video about where you get your money because its definitely notnpoker
As a utube pro, I liked the video but did not like Ben's play. Dude how is jj a fold there? you 3bet and fold half your stack in consecutive hands. I am so happy that I play better although somehow I cant make these 10k final tables.
Absolute beast. Im up from 10$ to 4k$ via sattelites. Will buy your course to up my game in tournaments. God bless.

Thank you for the compliment Rick!
@ 14:40 would AT be a call since you dont block some of his bluffs with K?
Love hearing this commentary. 33 a fold utg 6 handed. Ok good to know. KT shove for ten bigs, K9 for 8 bigs. Ok good to know. Great stuff
This content is better than most "training" sites that charge a bunch of money. Good stuff
When you see Ben going all in with 1 minute left in the video:( gg
What site is this
Natural 8...it may be part of the GG Poker network, as it also runs WSOP Tournaments.
Folds pocket 8’d and A 5 suited? Wow
1:47 what would be bencb's calling range there? KK+?
AA, KK, AKs maybe
Let's see what the YT chat thinks!
23o 67s T3o insta jam
Only AA and KK i guess
I think only KK and AA

I know my check back range call turn river range very well, so I can easily snap call my entire range
I also have flushdraws and sets checking back. KT is not the only hand.
@@RaiseYourEdge was this ever streamed with hole cards up? What did he end up having that K10dd hand if so?

Gf A5s...good that was allin pre.
11 Minutes Timebank thats hilarous :D
I am suprised about the pressure you have to put as small blind on the big blind. With 15BB shoving Almost any ace. Very intresting video
Glad it was insightful Laurens! To become more familiar with these spots we recommend the tool ICMizer 😊
