    Sir in a crystal, length of dislocations could be different for different dislocations if we consider that they can end in a node(where disslocations are intersecting), so in that case will dislocation density be different for each dislocation ? or we always consider dislocation length to be equal to length of edge of crystal?

      We usually consider the average dislocation density. This by definition is total length of the dislocation divided by the total volume of the sample.

    Sir in some books it is written as 10 ^-6 in case of dislocation density is it correct

      The value will depend upon the units, whether it is in cm^-2 or m^-2.
