No One Has SEEN This SIDEWALK IN YEARS, Until We Came (HUGE TRANSFORMATION)

  • This was one of our most back breaking jobs because of how tough the sidewalk was. It was also very long in distance which just made it even harder. We still got through it like always, we’ve never quit on a job but this one was for sure one of those where we felt like it in the middle of it. We’re very shocked by how the city didn’t get their hands on this one before us, it was full of trash and made the ditch useless. The sidewalk was no where to be seen and un usable. We’re glad you got to take care of it and bring it back to shape.

    One of the most puzzling attributes of humans is the thoughtlessness of dumping their rubbish anywhere and everywhere but especially on neglected grass areas and paths through woods and hiking areas. It's degrading, really. These videos restore one's faith through these highly principled and dedicated workers with a strong sense of community spirit. Thankyou,

    What an impressive clean up. Far beyond since you cleaned up trash as well as vegetation. I have such gratitude for your willingness to so selflessly improve the neighborhood by upgrading this piece of land. I also appreciate that you used a blower sparingly, using rakes and shovels to deal with most of the debris and orienting the mower so it blew debris back into the yard and not across the sidewalk. I think that's better for the air, compared to others who do this kind of work and don't work as carefully you worked. So great to see!!

      @diamondjim7560 11 месяцев назад +22

       The City of Houston would need to condemn the property by taking the property owner to court. Either the City or Harris County have records on who owns that property. Someone has to be paying the taxes on it, right? If the taxes aren’t being paid, then the county or city seizes it for a tax sale. Most likely the property was once owned by someone that became too elderly to live there. They passed or were moved into a facility and the children took it over and neglected it. Guarantee if the City or County sues to take over the property some greedy family member will come out of the shadows to fight it. With all the people flipping houses nowadays, someone would be glad to buy it.
      Update: Just saw the neighbor saying the property has been vacant for over 50 years. Disgusting! Now it sounds like some bigwig local politician probably owns it and the city administration won’t go after them. I still bet the taxes haven’t been paid on that property.

      Has anyone ever thought to themselves that a disabled person lives in that house and needs some help with lawn care? No. All anyone's sees is its a mess. Of course it is...
      I think that whomever lives near this person could have knocked on the door to actually ask if they were okay or needed some help with the lawn. That's what good neighbors do !! To care. Because there is a reason it's not been cared for... Please be aware that there is a reason and to go find out before you judge them.They may be depressed. Someone may have passed on, maybe not enough money? It could be so many reasons. God bless you all for being so nice to this homeowner today....😊

    You know this would just be one of those times where if I was a neighbor and got the gift that you just gave I’d keep that yard mowed down myself. Sure it wouldn’t be my responsibility but lesson learned that the property owner won’t do it. So I’d have to say keeping it up after all your hard work would be the thing to do if that yard was on my street.
