it's so sad to see the difference in production from the first one. i could tell when watching the film but uprising depended so much more heavily on cgi and you can see it! where were the incredible sets that the built for the jaegars! the cars on springs? the big analog machines that needed actual force to operate so it felt real! all of that grit was lost to the sleek iron man-esque bullshit

You can really see the people In the first Pacific rim really enjoyed it. Del toro is a really great director he understands making not only the movie great but making it fun for the actors.
