      That was some beautiful large mouth bass at the end. You were using my favorite rig. A Texas rigged Berkley power bait pitboss. The hot craw color and the California colors are great! I also use the Yum woolly bugs. They are very similar to the pitboss and also work great. I buy the watermelon red flake, the bream color and the ultimate craw color. Great fishing in New York Greg.     The most epic bass trip of the year can be when smallies are fry guarding.
    They will cruise within a foot of the shoreline and attack anything that hits the water.
    Casting a topwater within inches of the shore line is hard to beat.
    We have had 50 fish days, normally ,with top quality size.
    Its all timing…..

    Greg I am thoroughly impressed with your growth and maturation on the water.
    Most of us have not elevated to dissecting depth, water temp, bait selection at a moments notice.
    I know for myself I get locked into trying to force feed them my bait.
    So I applaud you!!!

    I fished Cayuga and Seneca last week. Only caught one. those lakes can get nasty in a hurry. Wind ran me off both of them

    Small, green pumpkin or some other natural color of TUBE! I’ve never fished up there but I struggle to catch smallmouth for the first 2 months after moving to a place that had em’. Saw people throwing tubes and only tubes so……… I tried a tube. Whacked em’! Now that’s my go to for smallies or baby brush hog. Lol

    That 6 lb. football fish looked familiar, I caught a 6.3 lb. bass looked exactly like that at New Hogan, and the picture they took of it was hanging on the wall for over 20 yrs..

    Ok Greg. Its now decided. I have relatives in New York. Looks like a road trip from Alabama to see them so I can hit these lakes. I hope they don't mind.😂.
    After so many years of watching your video's, I can truly say the videos just get better.     Gorgeous toads! I know exactly how frustrating it is when bass don't want to commit when they're on beds. Aside from the wacky-rigged Senko, perhaps a Carolina Rig too? Those Rock Bass are funny ooking little critters 😊 Not familiar with East Coast cuisine, but I suppose the Rock Bass would make a good meal. 🤗 (Yes, you should have brought the net!     When you go back to New York, definitely hit Onadaga Lake! I remember back in the day you did a tournament there, it’s a amazing lake I will be hitting it in a couple weeks.

    @15:00 Man, that has to be so frustrating and tough. I was thinking that possibly something you should throw would be something like a swim bait that mimics those bait fish that are trying to eat their eggs. That way you can get an actual reaction out of them because they are afraid that you're swimbaits going to try and eat their eggs and then they go, grab it and push it off the bed.
