My cousin loved them. She saw them a few times. After she passed in 2013 I started listening to them. When I first heard Outlaws and Shady Women first thing I said is this is for you Brianne. I got to finally see them 3 years ago with my best friend and I cried hysterically when he sang Last Day Under the Sun. I would love to see them again but I wish I had listened to them when my cousin was alive I would have loved going to a show with her.

Danish is HARD, especially for English speakers, they have vowels and sounds that we just don't make, sounds with the back of the tongue. I tried for a few years, got good enough to order in restaurants, carry along with simple online conversations, but stuck in between a few Danes talking to each other at full speed trying to simply keep up with understanding what they were saying, complete short-circuit.
Truly one of the greatest bands out there… Michael’s voice is so incredibly smooth for rock and that what’s makes him so fun to listen to. He also has a way of pulling the hole crowd in and involving them…..

I turned 60 last week and amazingly, only discovered this band a year ago (Leviathan played on KSHE 95); saw them last night in St. Louis, MO. Their performance was clean; volume was just right. Damn they rocked the place. The band appeared appreciative and probably are used to much larger crowds in the EU. I just added a bunch of their tunes to my cycling (road cycling) mix.

At first i thought "Volbeat" is some kind of Boomboom-DJ Synthie-BullSXXX made by so-called DJs with a musical talent that ends at the play button and the master volume fader....and then i heard "Wait a minute, my girl". And the voice got that little extra that kept me tuned. And then i heard "Lola Montez" on the radio, and my wife (We're Rockmusicians for over 30 Years now...she's a Singer...) wanted me to turn up the volume to hear this special kind of voice, stating: "Thats what i call a special timbre.." The songs are rough, dirty and bursting loaded with energy. THIS IS ROCK'N ROLL at its best. With such bands rock will find its way into the next generation, no matter if the band names "Volbeat", "Cheesecutter" or "Yellow Toenail". All thumbs up.
