Nagpur to ajni is the shortest scheduled train journey in India. so i went to cover this interesting fact but unfortunately, when a maal gadi started from platform no 1, it suffered mechanical failure between the bearing in the joint where 2 bogies join, it was a metallic failure, thankfully nothing much happened. major train accident avoided.

Ajni(among various others) also is the place which sheds the second powerful locomotive of Indian Railways which is WAP-7 (6350 hp)
For e.g 'Ojas' is a very known WAP-7 in the railfan community which is from Ajni Shed

I found one interesting thing ... Nagpur to Ajni (1st AC) 1tier ticket of vidarbha express is ₹1245 ... 2AC 745₹ , 3AC 540 SL class 170 For just 3 km .. this is so expensive ... if you travel by Taxi or auto max ₹50-100 cost , city bus ₹10 👍 .. good VLoG

Sir, its a beautiful place to visit and explore the nature in Mainpat. There's a place in Mainpat where the land shakes (floating land) if you jump on that land...it will bounce and that place is called Jaljali in Mainpat.
Mazza to bahut aega sir...bs ek baar aap ghum k aao MAINPAT... That place is like chota Tibet...cold weather hai, it's a tourist place.

I have literally spent my entire life in Nagpur and actually the train route was my daily route in pre COVID times and trust me it had never happened before. I mean never. It's quite shocking.

the another short distance journey is between sewagram to wardha which is 2km .....sewagram station is famous for its curve which is 90 degree ,the famous "vada" and BAPU ashram
There is another very small distance superfast train known as Kanchankanya Express from Sealdah Station in Kolkata to Alipir Duar. It also travels a distance of only 4km before stopping on its first halt at Biddhannagar Road
