@@djcvmusic1they got lazy, the day one xbox one controller actually felt more like 360, except for the triggers, but when they came out with the One S they replaced the first generation controller. I've gone through two, the buttons, the shoulder buttons, and the joy sticks feel like plastic. even the way it feels in the hand, it has this cheap feel, the day one controller had a premium feel. all they needed to do, was address the trigger problem. the duel sense PS5 is giving me 360 vibes all over again, you can feel the quality in the controller. it's definitely better than the PS4, but that was a good controller.
The "charge and play kit" for the 360 controller doesn't let you play without a wireless adapter, even if you're plugging the controller to the PC it's only getting power and you still need a wireless adapter

If you do get the adapter bare in mind you have to install the drivers manually in device manager, and get used to it, it's been 7 years and I still have to reinstall the drivers for the wireless adapter every once in a while because my computer forgets what the adapter is. And it's not just one computer all I've tried have that issue. But I find it as a minor annoyance for what's otherwise my favourite controller
The 360 design is perfect for me and I have smaller hands so it really shouldn't be more comfortable than Xbox One/Series controllers. I think it suits my grip over longer game sessions.
you have a mistake. 4:40 plugging in the wireless 360 controller through that cable WILL NOT work. the cable is for charging only, not for USB data. controls will not work. For wireless its either you get an adapter, or get a full wired 360 version.

Bought XBOX Series X controller today after many years using XBOX 360 Controller Wireless on PC with Microsoft Dongle, just returning it tomorrow, first try connected with cable, updated firmware, all good, connected to Bluetooth on PC to use it wirelessly, launched FIFA 21 to find out that the controller is recognized as 2 controllers and moving the d-pad or analog stick makes "both" controllers "work" lol so basically I have a ghost controller, google for solution and found out it's just the way it is for some games, and you need a series of "workarounds" for them to work wirelessly via bluetooth without showing 2 controller connected (or play with USB cable connected which I won't). So, i'm all hassle free person and I don't want another thing to worry in my life, so I'm returning it and keeping my good old XBOX 360 controller (I have 3 of them, and one is as good as new) so I'm gonna stay with old 100% working wirelessly controller. Ergonomics of this controller are pretty good though, and didn't liked the vibration motors on Triggers also.

@@ChrisMizo I am noticing a big input lag while playing rocket league in bluetooth mode, using it wired reduces input lag but still feels sluggish. The Buttons and Dpad don't seem to be able to consistently register multiple taps at once, sometimes hitting the buttons twice to do a double jump end up only doing a single jump, and the same happens when double tapping dpad for quick chat or whatever. The thumbsticks are so loose feeling and seem way to small. Also my habds are not super large, just medium size, and the controller is putting pressure on one of my finger joints in the back. Compared to my old wired 360 controller, this new one is really uncomfortable. Going to exchange it for a dualsense and see if its better.

You just need the wireless receiver for the 360 controller and a bluetooth dongle for the Series X. I've also combined the controllers with a ps4 controller and they all work perfectly at the same time.

Hey Cris, glad this video answered most of your questions, Xbox series x controller does not come with rechargable batteries, it comes with standard Duracell AA alkaline batteries. To turn off the controller, to turn off your controller you can hold the Xbox button. If your PC does not have Bluetooth you can purchase a Bluetooth dongle as located in the description above X box series x controller isn't compatible with the older reciever and would need a newer generation reciever. Been using the wireless 360 controller for yeeears. But finally decided to buy a Series Controller (recent Forza Edition) so I don't have to use a dongle. But I'm so dissappointed to say that the Series Controller wasn't as good as the 360. It was a complete hassle to even get it working on Windows. Update OS, use the horrible MS store to download accessories apps (it didnt let me download before I deleted the Store's cache), update the controller... if you don't do that Windows won't recognize the controller as Xinput... After that it finally showed up as a controller but it didn't work properly in the game I tested... The controller flipped out and acted like I presed all the buttons at the same time. It went away when plugging in the USB... but acted the same way when unplugging it.... It also is very loud, the buttons specificly. The vibration motors are extremely loud and sound like a d*ldo honestly. It wasn't as ergonomic as X360 either. The button layout and the controller overall is smaller, so I have to constantly stretch my fingers to keep the hands on the triggers and buttons. The older 360 feels more natural for me. The triggers are a bit higher up and are really comfortable. They feel and sounds a bit more mechanical though, while the Series is completely silent. I wasn't a fan of the new joysticks either. They feel a bit light when pointing around. I wantted them to be more straint like X360. I'm disappointed overall and gonna continue using the 360.
I'm gonna have to disagree. The series controller is far superior. More comfortable to hold and easy to connect to Bluetooth. Idk what u been doing but u been doing it all wrong. The 360 controller was way too small. I remember playing black ops 2 with it and it was a pain in the ass in comparable with the series x controller. The dpad look and overall feel are far superior

They've repositioned the buttons slightly so it doesn't feel as natural anymore. You have to kinda force your fingers on the buttons now... didn't like that one bit. I don't care about the D-pad. Your'e mostlly navigating menus with it anyway. I've seen other people having the same troubled experience (trying get it to work on Windows) with it online, so I can't be the only person who dislikes it. I don't understand why Microsoft of all companies got this controller which refuses to work properly - on their on platform, while all my 4 other BT controllers from 8Bitdo working flawlessly... that's just confusing to me.

I often double tap one of the dpad sides and it only registers one tap, same goes for the xyab buttons. Then my hands are medium large, and the controller back top side is putting pressure on one of my finger joints and its very very annoying. I had a 360 wired version and it fels so much better. The dpad was super responsive and ive never had a single issue with registering mutliple clicks or missclicking. Plus the joysticks on the new one are so tiny that im incapable of properly indicating the direction i wanna jump in rocket league, its been causing nothing but frustration. The controller only looks better and has cooler material choices for the surface, everything else is ass, even the triggers r too small and stiff.

the 360 is the better one cause the xbox one controller trigger suck they take too much time too travel no wonder why i did better on halo 3 on xbox 360 the trigger timing is better .
360 was way better, the new one is Trash. The Sensitivity of the Analogsticks from the Series Controller are horrible, too loose, too sensitive, too spongy. i hate the new one.

if you plug a wireless 360 controller into your pc it will not work. You either have to use a wired controller or get the adapter.

the 3 things that break the x360 controller for me is the turd d-pad, the ant triggers and the cable not being at least mini usb

Yes either 4.0 or 5.0 will work fine, won't be any latency issues I believe and no, bluetooth won't work for 360 controllers,I hope this helped

Which one to buy is an easy decision in my country... It's impossible to find any original Microsoft Xbox 360 controller in my country.

No unfortunately you can't, you'll need the whole set: reciever, plug n play set, and a rechargeable battery

Longevity wise I'd go 360 much easier to work on when drift occurs
