Years ago I met an middle aged couple in Southern Spain at my Mums old apartment. They used to drive an old XJS from Santander to mijas every year, empty brand new motorways all through central Spain, they loved it. I always fancied it myself too

Thank you for posting. Great video. About lane splitting, the state of California (Univ of CA, Berkeley) conducted a 10 year study in an attempt to determine the safety of lane splitting vs staying in your own lane (as a car would). Without question, the study concluded lane splitting to be safer. The risk of being rear ended (specially these days when drivers all over are distracted by reading texts/emails/tweets on their phones) far outweighs the risk of an accident while lane splitting. I lived in CA for about thirteen years (all of them as a motorcycle rider) and can't remember an instance of even a near accident while lane splitting. Just my $0.02 worth, ymmv.

Yep the GoPro seems to record in mono with my setup for some reason? I usually convert it to mono stereo in the edit, but I forgot in this vid, apologies 😬👍
Great editing. Changing scenes timed to the music was also a nice touch. I sense a life changing decision in the works. Go for it.
I agree 100% having done a day with Martin last year. Some the best roads I've ridden. My advice to any bikers out there, DO IT! Officially approved by me (Adam) The Grumpy Biker. 😂
Hi Bruce. I'm totally with you on the complacency thing. After 2 years of riding around North Thailand, I've started to take it all for granted. In fact a couple of weeks ago I had to give myself a stiff talking to. I bought an Insta 360 a few weeks ago and have been having a play. Not used it on the bike yet as waiting for a clamp to be delivered and also decided I'd like the added security of a venture case to mount it on the bike. Nobody seems to have one at the moment so that will have to wait.

Once again, wow! Love the new camera. But more than that- 50 pounds return!? That's fantastic ( or sooooopurb!😉 ). When I was a kid we flew out of Edinburgh to Spain and I think it cost more then, forty years ago. Keep up the good work bigman, it's the next best thing to being there for those who can't. Cheers!

Innovv c5 head camera might be an option. EPIC views and Epic roads. LAT. Drone footage is just brilliant. Bullet time was very good.
Cheers Darren, unfortunately the footage from the C5 isn’t good enough quality for my Vlogs. It’s great as a backup for insurance purposes, but personally I wouldn’t use it as my main camera source, just can’t compete with the GoPro’s 👍

Unfortunately my instructor went sick at the start of the 2nd week, so the other chap (who was in my group) and I have to go back on July 8th for the last 2 weeks of the course

I dunno if it's the GoPro perspective, but Martin has my palms sweating the way he hugs the right shoulder on left turns 😱.... I know that's the right way to do it, but some turns he appears to leave next to no room in case he runs wide

How are you getting on with editing the 360 footage? It took me a while to find my feet with it. Such amazing twisties...The colour on the Hero Black 7 is amazing... So wish they did a Hero 7 Session.
It must be so hard to ride those roads AND have that scenery to distract you.

Thanks Hippo, yeah it’s a great camera and it really does open up the options doesn’t it. I’ve since bought the belt and used it on the recent review of the S1000RR (which will be out a week on Friday).
Editing the footage is fairly simple I’ve found, but it is hugely demanding on my Mac system.

Bruce, I found the Hero 7's lack of a good visible recording light a pain. Especially trying to see it in the bikes mirrors. I paired my smart remote from my Hero 3+ to it and I have that sitting on my handle bar with the Velcro strap. This lets you start/stop recording and see battery life etc. You get them from Ebay quite cheap too.

Aye sorry about that John. The GoPro Hero7 seems to record in stereo only in the left ear for some reason? I usually convert the audio track to mono stereo which then allows it to be transmitted to both channels, however I forgot to do all the files in this vid.

teapotone ha - no apology needed! I thought at first my right AirPod wasn’t working then the music kicked in and then it dropped again! Took me a minute to work out the dropout was when you spoke!
Just WOW, how about mounting the One X on the bike so you never miss the best angle, saves the near death pant wetting moments trying to look one way and negotiate the corners
