  • Hi folks! I have had this poor old RC30 in storage for quite some years, but it's finally time to get her on the road. There will be lots to do, so join me as I unwrap this beauty, and take the first steps towards getting her up and running. Thanks for watching. Please check out my other videos, and subscribe for more retro bike, car and van insights, repairs and restoration!

I'll be watching with interest, as I have my own to do at some point. I hope you noticed that there isn't a screw missing from the air filter, the filter is held in place by the centre screw coming down through from the top cover, aside from that, good job, and I can't wait for your next instalment.

Thank you for pointing that out! I missed that one 😊More to come soon. Are you restoring one?

@@retro_restos I've had one since 1989, it's not had a run for two years, I know one of the carb floats is stuck, had the same issue about 10 yrs ago. It's just finding the time.

Why would the clutch master cylinder not operate the clutch, a fluid flush doesnt fix a master cylinder that is not functional. I know that keeping everything original is great but a rubber clutch line is most likely the reason the pressure in the clutch line was gone. Should replace that line.

Like some other comments below, I'm looking forward to part 2. I've had an RC since new, and it's been completely rebuilt once. But, these days, it's actually quite tough to maintain it . . .am keen to know more. Also, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I subscribed to you, clicked on the link and the site which appeared is all about restoring old electronics and not the VW or Lancia you mentioned. Old electronics are also very interesting, but what happened to the other projects?
