Your support would be greatly appreciated, as this is a truly unique perspective on China in this day and age.
the blade in question had multiple purposes, you could use the "hook" to disarm your opponent or to rip him to shreds. these weapons came long before the books of JRRTolkein and they look awesomely menacing so why not hand them to the bad guys?
Yeah, that clip is clearly pulled out of either one of the two frist LOTR movies. There arealso a lot of battle scenes in spread around this collection that are pulled out of various movies. Just goes to show how much budget these documentary had.
watching a vid for 3 minutes is not a waste of life. The reason I'm here is because i'm interested in "your" (this) culture. i said that I don't necessarily refute anything in this vid, but the ccp is high on my list of "dubious documentary makers"...
Get out then. I do not trust the west in regard to China because I am Chinese. And i often read and hear only partial truths or even outright lies of the Chinese people.
Biased on what ground? What kind of geopolitical relevance could ancient Chinese weapons possibly represent to interests of the state? Unless you have a pathological resentment for Chinese history, there's nothing here to refute!
yeah, sure, I'm not refuting anything in the vid coz i didn't bother watching it all. I'm jst pointing out that this doc is likely to be highly biased - if not propaganda - and should be viewed with heightened skepticism. Btw, the wording of your question doesn't make sence:P
almost defeated Rome, Rome was just a shadow of itself in that era...but was ultimately defeated by many "barbarian" states west of roman empire at that time and the german tribes north-east (goth)
No, I do not believe anybody is exaggerating Chinese history, particularly not the Chinese historians. Otherwise, we would all believe Chinese writing is 8000 years old. But you're also taking for granted the objectivity of Western scholars. I too often find them eager to exalt ancient Chinese history and wisdom to semi-legendary status, which only facilitates the work of naysayers in discrediting it all, unfortunately. Tibetan territorial disputes have everything to do with CCP, not China!

12:41 That is clearly an orc sword from the Fellowship of the Ring movie; a long, straight blade with a pointed "hook" at the end.
10:17 which type sword is it how to call it anyone help me ?
Vigneswaran MahiramVEVO .cool right
The top sword is single edged and is called a 'dao'. The sword below looks double edged and is called 'jian', as far as I understand it.
This is called ring-pommel-single-edged sword in Chinese
why the video ends so abruptly?
can anyone find the link to where the video originally came from????

Proud to be Asian, wouldn't have it any other way

There are several mistakes
Are they the same as any of their other neighbours?

Chinese can beat Huns 2100 year ago just because Chinese had better weapons at that time. Then Huns moved to Europe and defeated the Rome.
