US Army Sniper Breaks Down His Field Combat Gear | Loadout
That dude helped me so much through the course. Honestly was one of the best instructors
Same literally my favorite instructor.
Is he the one that gave you the nickname Ferocious Enema?
@@J_D_B4379 that’s his real name
@@frostbitepokin9520 take that over a 7.62 enema
did he help you learn how to trickshot?
I love how happy he was to have his meatballs and marinara sauce with him.
His smile over that is contagious.
It could be something as little as knowing you've always got your favorite MRE just in case that keeps you going.
@MAYOIS4INLINESKATERS More like hell. There’s a reason they are commonly called
“Meals . Rejected . by Ethiopians” lmao.
i was expecting some protein or suvrival bars, ramen or dehydrated food, a sidearm preferably with extended threaded barrel and suppressor .45 acp would be my choice, green and red smoke grenades, a gps, tape that has a camo cloth backing, comms headset with ptt, an mp5 or mp7 for med range engagements, and some non reflective camo paint on the tripod and scope
@@commiesnzombies Likewise - I get the feeling he was briefed by seniors not to show off too much official gear setup...
@@commiesnzombies I don't think he gets to just choose any weapon and setup he wants I'm sure he needs to pick from the pot
The way he says it and shows it, must mean he is a good instructor. Love the way he explains everything
Need him doing tutorials on how to slide and quick scope enemies
😂😂😂
360 no scope.
@WhatApp ❶❺❼❶❸❾❷❾❻❾❼ shut up bot
P.S. it's a scam
the no scope tho
For the geography/ecology nerds among us: That environment was the American southeastern coastal plain.
Could also pass for an oak or pine savanna environment. Or glacial plain in the Midwest around the Great Lakes.
Considering this gentleman is an instructor at the sniper school down in Fort Benning, Georgia, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be there. I certainly wouldn't classify it as a coastal plain, but its not far off. Not sure of the technical term, but I would call it the low hills.
Most likely Ft Benning, GA
AMOGUS? SUS?
More commonly known as “Georgia”.
Mans really just unpacked his entire apartment. Respect.
Yea yea hats off
Remembers me of Bob Lee swagger s speech after his analysis...
Oh, we used to carry a lot more. He gave a weight range for his ruck of 35-65lb. On a good day, mine was 75lb. Heaviest I ever jumped with was 110lb.
Glad he broke character for a minute to talk about the meatballs. Seems like a really good humble dude. Thank you for your service.
I appreciate that Insider is making sure people are more informed about firearms and less scared of them.
Very few people outside the US are gonna watch something like this unless they're interested in firearms, meaning it wont inform the ones who are scared of them.
Let the ignorant remain so.
tell that to the families of of school shooting victims in the states
@@kmizanfauzi7291 I survived one.
But the firearms don’t scare me. Because I know they’re just a tool. It’s the person who wielded the guns that scared me. Without him the gun wouldn’t go anywhere or hurt anyone.
You need a better line. I’m Gen Z and we’re catching on to your bullshit.
@@chloehennessey6813 your right we thought the gun grew limbs and walked into schools and shot kids
You always lear the most from these "kind of" instructors. Very chill, very professionell, pleasure to work with.
For anyone curious. At the time of writing this, his KNIGHTS Armament AN/PVS-30 is aprox $15,000 US and his Storm-SLX is another $10,000 (depending on model).
For those wondering about his watch, he's wearing a Garmin Instinct Tactical, very popular watch among Service Members
You're wrong buddy, it's not a Garmin Instinct Tactical
I'm probably wrong, but looks more like a Suunto watch, back in my day we just had G-Shocks
that a casio
i think it’s a garmin fenix
@@z0phi3l SUUNTOs are absolute trash. I've destroyed two of them on training rotations back 3 years ago. Whatever, I had REI dividend points so I didn't really pay as much as I could have been.
Garmin and what you mentioned, G-Shocks are the way to go :)
This is such an interesting topic to hear more on. The tools and everything required to take the necessary steps that lead up to a shot.
a kill
More recon than shooting
My only question has always been 'how do you deal with ants, spiders snakes? you know, everything else that doesn't want you low-crawling in their environment?' RESPECT and thank you for your service.
You don’t. Shit just happens
There have been stories where the snipers were lying so still that snakes crawled over them
You just sit there and enjoy the ride!
“Just piss on yourself.”
Apparently, it makes a good repellent. It’s also the best prank advice for the new guys.
😂😂😂
Highly depends on the situation, if you need to kill it, just snap it's neck or use your knife. If the animals are pretty chill then just enjoy their company.
Those sights alone probably cost more than my entire gun collection.
Thank you for your service brother
mans got that overkill perk double snipe loadout what a sweat
Go squad leader!!!! I dig the little laugh after the MRE😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the breakdown of your equipment. Noticed that your rifle uses Accuracy International 308 magazines. They're the best for all 308 ammo less than 75mm. long. My AW came with four which I have HPBT in two and FMJ-SAP in the others for when you need to shoot into a vehicle.
Please make more load out videos like this
Will he explain how to do a 360 no scope.
😂😂😂
More like this please.
This was so cool thank you
Great and helpful info, thanks
The way the spotting scope clicks into the tripod :satisfying:
Nice video love to watch
I love my Kestrel.. Not cheap by any means but its a must have... Im just a precision novice and one thing I was turned on to from buddies, is the Accuracy first whiz wheel.. Analog ballistics calculator.. redundancy is a must
What is it with the multiple fullstops? One fullstop is perfectly sufficient.* The* next sentence then starts with a capital letter.
Because I worked with many Army personnel before,,,,,, and,,,, with their intellectual level,,,,, most times its a must to get a point across... you must be the acceptation..... a more likely scenario is you were trained well in english just like they trained a monkey to go into space... I wasnt aware the goober-ment was policing language now... you are perfect for the job.... I'll be sure to stay away from the fence line and fans while you are around.... @@einundsiebenziger5488
All that cool gear and equipment, but I liked how he seemed most proud of his favorite MRE of Meatballs and Marinara Sauce. My man.
Loved this one
WOW! Great vid, times have changed!
Good video. Just the facts. No BS.
Nice video Thank you.
I loved n enjoyed it a lot🔥🙏
Anemometer is a Greek word and as most of the Greek words used in English it gives a hard time to those from other countries!! Anemos is the word for wind in Greek!! It's written άνεμος!!
Fascinating. He is certainly well equipped.
Arma 3 editors (with ACE) very much appreciate it. Thanks.
Meatballs in marinara sauce was one of my favorite MREs, too.
Those water filtration systems are no joke. The one he pulled out is probably a 300 dollar filter but it works. MSR makes good quality stuff
Wild that as a former sniper in the 10th Mountain Division (2002-2006), our load out kit hasn’t evolved much. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Solid video.
I'm curious how much time would be spent changing clothes or setting any of this up. It would need to be done stealthily right? I'm pretty sure the smallest movements can be done over the course of hours for snipers.
Normally when they inflitrate, they would already get a sense of the environment and get changed.
If they were already in a Ghille suit, they meant that they are going deep behind enemy lines, within enemy territories. They have been trained to brace all forms of elements. If it rains, it rains. You do not want to get caught and shot midway while changing. They would also normally change if they are far away from their intended target or have set up a parameter.
On all of my stalks I had a known or suspected enemy position that I was moving to. During my mission planning, I would do a terrain analysis with a topographic map to determine how close I could get to the enemy position and still be unseen due to the terrain alone. This would give me an idea of where to set up my mission support site and cache my rucksack. From the MSS, I would move to the last cover and concealed position. Once there, I would pull out my ghillie suit and veg it up to match the local flora. So, depending on the terrain and vegetation, only the last couple hundred meters would I have my ghillie suit on. I'd say that it would take me about 30 minutes to camo up and get my ghillie prepped for the final portion of the stalk.
As far as movement, if you can see the enemy first, you can quickly determine their blind spots and use them to approach relatively fast. I remember my last stalk, from the time we were dropped of a few miles away to when I moved into my final firing position was about 45 - 60 minutes. Unfortunately it wasn't as concealed as I hoped. So, over the course of about a hour, I cut branches off of some shrub oak and transplanted it on the other side of the tree where my shooting position was. I took my time, moving a branch about every ten minutes, mostly so that no drastic changes to my spot were suddenly made. Once I was done, I waited some more knowing that once I shot, a walker would be called within 10 meters of me, so I wanted that observer to get used to the bush that I had made. Fortunately, another sniper shot before I did which drew the observers attention to my spot. The other sniper was about 20 meters behind me and using the same line of fire. While the observers were able to talk the walker onto the other sniper, that meant that they scrutinized my area and didn't talk the walker onto my newly created bush (I was out of their line of sight behind a tree). After about 10 minutes, I moved into position and made the shot. The walker came over but the observers couldn't ID me. Eventually they asked the walker to put his flag on my head. Once he did, the observers radioed that it looked like he just put his flag on the ground. Throughout this, I was keeping near constant observation of the instructors so I knew when I could safely move. I was slow and smooth whenever any part of my body was within their line of sight but at the same time I was not impersonating Drax's "I am invisible because my movements are so slow as to be imperceptible." If I could see they were looking elsewhere, I could move from behind the tree and put in another branch. The trick was not to move fast enough that their peripheral vision could detect the movement and attract their attention to my location.
That is a lot of gear. But, if it comes down to really needing it, you'll be glad you lugged it along when the time comes.
God bless our Sniper teams.
Great job
That m2010 is beautiful
Great video
How such a cool military video landed on the official Business Insider channel, I would be never understand, but whoever handles their RUclips account should just keep it up.
Business insider got best videos on military as i had seen...
Thank you sir 👍
Good job my friend thanks for it service sir.
Saw the sniper shirt and i immediately knew he’s a sniper
woah, no way?

Your imaginary friend would have a much easier job protecting them if they stayed home to actually defend their country.
Thank you! Great episode.

Great advice! You need to send those water purifiers to the marines at camp Lejeune.
I got that water filter, best ever.
Meatballs in marinara sauce is the best mre no question, glad to see he has good taste
I LOVE that M2010 in .300 Winchester Magnum!

AWESOME!!!!
"A weathermometer?" Lol glad I watched till the end
So grateful to our armed forces. Thank you!🙏🏻
Isn't War Awesome?
It's just SO Awesome!
None of that "Peace" stuff for people, only War.
Sir I have a couple of question sir. the metal clamps to help secure your Urban position when using the screens. Those specific clamps appear to be chromed or a very shiny metallic that could or would reflect the sunlight how would you implement those to make sure that that doesn't give away your position by the Sun reflecting off of it? Or were those clamps an example of what you would use but the actual one would be painted or coloured to suit your environment? Also you had two different tripods you work in a team with a spotter and a shooter would you both carry two tripods or could the members of your team that are for security when it's possible to send them with you be able to help disburse the load? Redundancy how important is that to a sniper team to have multiple of equipment that you would only really need one at a time well I guess the first that tripod you showed us could need two of those depending on your position and the terrain and your target possibly. I'm just curious. Sir thank you sir
Meatball Marinara; send it! That MRE is… Dope! Heard that one B4?
Awesome 👍
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.
And tasted, slowly. ...
I really hope if shit hits the fan your on my side, great load outs and skills.
I have to take it down about 20 notches, but the squirrels fear me
Beautiful 😍
Love your tattoos
God loves the paper
Beef stew is mine lol
And I love the little bottle of tobacco
Nice video mate 👍👍👍
That 7.62 is now in a HH magnum case as a 300 win mag not the 7.62x51
Serious question. How much personalization can be done to the modern combat soldier's loadout before Ft. Leavenworth starts getting mentioned.
It depends on the unit but most snipers are given a fairly free reign over their gear. So long as they can reasonably justify it, most commanders will accept the personalization.
I would truly enjoy a loadout episode of a machanics toolbox army or air force of a fighter jet or taink maintainer
ty
Good video
He so chill...but make no mistake, this guy will blast you from a mile out
Camouflage misquote netting is another useful material to have.
BAD AZZ! Love it!
Never mess with a guy who can shoot you from a different postal code

Now I'm curious what's the load out for other terrains, like desert or snowy regions
Good ol Dom
Cool, really cool.
Bravo.
I had to keep checking on my own posture throughout this video xD

No shoutout on the AAC Titan on the XM2010 =(
It's okay, they were still fun to make =)
When someone ask you tell me about yourself this guy would just send you this link to watch on RUclips about his life and you need no further questions after
Perfect
standard infantry soldier loadout would be the coolest.
DOMINGUEZ!!!
Geez, when I was in, all I had was a pair of binos, a map, a range card, and my rifle.
I bet your glad you didnt need to hump all that gear.
Me too
That’s a lot of weight to carry. Salute soldiers
Yooo ssg domo 🤙🏼🤙🏼
You can tell he’s passionate about what he does💐. Let’s get this man his series please 🙏🏾
No.. Let's not romanticise war and killing people
Passionate about shooting people?
Guns don’t kill people. Bad and sick people are the killer’s.
@@kiddream5749 I don't know who you are replying to. Putting a bullet in someone is not a pleasant thing to do. It is far from pleasant, even when justified. Anyone who enjoys it for a job is a psychopath.
@@skyhappy why is it a problem to be passionate about equipment?
That was cool
this dude is such a bad ass.......
Nah he kills people for a living
Love it. The clips need to be deshined
Army all the way!
First thing to do with MRE's is open them, get rid of what you don't want and the extra air, and collapse them tight in half the space. Duct tape to seal them up till you're ready to use them, and don't leave any trace of where you laid up to eat.
In Iraq we carried several HemCon 4x4's and an IV kit with 500mg bags each of Saline and Hextend. It'll keep you and your partner from being a heat casualty or bleeding out when things go "Bad" and QRF is still a way's out.
Carry a couple VS-17 Signal panels, they are "Gold" when you're on a rooftop or layup position trying not to get killed by an overzealous Apache crew. Lay them flat on either side of your position so that they can only be seen from the air.
Cross Load your gear with your partner so that if either one of you lose your gear, or the man that goes with it, you still have the ability to function. Eg: one man carries the Thermal sight, the other the Day/Night Scope, one man carries the main radio, the other a smaller backup, no one man carries all the ammo, water, medical kit, etc...
SSG. U.S. Army (Medically Retired) Infantry / Sniper / SOF Intel (SOT-A), multiple tours
Are you sure you do not mean "500 ml" (500 Milliliters or about 17 liquid ounces) bags of saline? 500 mg is half a gram or roughly a 57th of an ounce.
