    Would this method work for an SCT?

      @universewonders1  7 месяцев назад +1

      SCT are abit different but same concept, focus it on an unfocused star and centre the black circle in the middle

    How do we know if he secondary mirror is aligned?

    • @universewonders1
      @universewonders1  6 месяцев назад +1

      If its out of alignment you will have black shadows when watching from an eyepiece

    Is this the primary or secondary mirror

    • @universewonders1
      @universewonders1  6 месяцев назад +1

      For the primary mirror, secondary is the same procedure but you only need to align it with your eyes in the correct orientation and secure the fastners

      @@universewonders1do I need to buy a new screwdriver? The one that came with the telescope won't open the big screw in the middle and if I try harder the 3 things that hold it bent

    • @universewonders1
      @universewonders1  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@TicTacEnjoyer you have to loosen the 3 small allen screws first to unscrew the big one

      @universewonders1  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@TicTacEnjoyer no worries, the big screw controls how much inward travel the secondary has, the 3 small screws control what angle the mirror its tilted at, its important to get them spot on as you will have black edges at the eyepiece if not
