    Hey man. I have been following you for a while. I want to ask a question about a problem. I have a Canon 2000D and a Celestron 130SLT. When I go out and try to photograph an object, I usually shoot 100-150 frames. The shooting process goes smoothly. The problem starts when I try to stack my frames. For example, 2 nights ago I pointed my Telescope at M63. I got 147 frames but today, when I tried to stack them in DSS, again, I encountered the same problem I’ve been facing for a while. The problem is; when I start the process, it registers all the frames but when it comes to stacking, it gives a warning which says; ”only 1 frame out of 147 is going to be stacked”. I couldn’t find the definitive reason for this but I assume it is either because of my tracking mount (Alt-azimuth) or the quality of the mirrors (I think this might be the case because the stars in my pictures look very big). I wonder if you have ever encountered the same problem. Even if not, I’m curious about your feedback on this

    • @universewonders1
      @universewonders1 4 дня назад

      Pretty common issue, adjust the star detection to detect more stars, the percentage needs to be lower for DSS to detect more stars

    • @universewonders1
      @universewonders1 4 дня назад

      Copied from DSS manual Adjusting the star detection threshold The star detection threshold is 10% by default (10% of the maximum luminance). You can modify this threshold in the Advanced tab of the "Register checked pictures/Register Settings" dialog, or by selecting Settings.../Register Settings

    • @_0NesEc
      @_0NesEc 4 дня назад

      Thanks for answering quickly! I had already pulled it all the way down to %2. The star detection counts 64 stars every time. But when the process starts, the average counted star amount (per frame) is between 10-15. I still don't understand this contradiction. Why do these two numbers not match? By the way I am still speaking about my try on M63

    • @universewonders1
      @universewonders1 4 дня назад

      @@_0NesEc maybe the pics are not aligned, and there are bad subs? Try throwing the bad frames out. This once happened to me and the issue was that one of my stacks was not aligned well because the telescope had drifted off. Removed it and then it stacked fine

    • @_0NesEc
      @_0NesEc 3 дня назад

      @@universewonders1 Hmmmm, that is a point I have never considered before. Like I said, my mount is Alt-azimuth and the tracker is the nexstar mount. So of course, the tracking is not so advanced. Usually some stars get in and out of the view(frame) but really minimal. Although would it still effect the post process?
