We can give Bharat Ratna award to Sachin Tendulkar and Lata mangeshkar but not to Shreenivas Ramanujan.Why? He is the greatest mathematician produced by India since last 1100 years.Government should give him Bharat Ratna award as soon as possible.

@@tejapvk That is one way of thinking about it, our bias. Maybe hundreds more died that day due to the same disease and yet we label his death as surprising because he was ALSO a great mathematician unlike others. It's all in an individual's value and our correlation with events in that light
Modiji , should consider bestowing our Time honoured ,world renowned , great (I wouldn't say greatest ,even though he was) mathematics genius ,our country was blessed with , Ramanujan Sreenivasan - with the country's highest highest Award, posthumously. In the future, if you're going to do a documentary about the life of a scientist or mathematician, please do one of the following: 1) Don't include anybody discussing technical aspects of their work. 2) Only include technical aspects of their work by illustrating what you're saying with graphics that are both illustrative and plainly readable. 3) Take the time to have someone with the necessary technical knowledge translate what's being said into meaningful closed captions.
