Based on what I've heard about them, the wrong delivery depicted in this movie is actually a one-in-a-million happening. I was pleasantly surprised when I watched the late Irrfan Khan and Nawazudding Siddiqui in the same movie... sad that they couldn't do more movies together. The actress Nimrat Kaur was very natural and did well.
Yep. They deliver almost 200,000 tiffin boxes everyday in Mumbai city. Some from people’s own homes, some from hotels, etc, but an established, everyday routine. Not like your Zomatos and Swiggys, where you order every time. Like a newspaper route. The delivery guys know which paper to deliver to each house. A very elaborate and complex system, yet perfectly executed. Almost. That one mistake forms the premise of this story. It really is masterful. For film students, especially. From ideation and storytelling to direction and acting, everything is perfect.

The middle class people of Mumbai travel a lot to reach their office (few hours everyday) so most people leave very early in the morning to reach office on time, but it is difficult to cook lunch so early in the morning so the Dabbawala services are used by many households.

We are still using that pressure cooker. I don't think there is any replacement of that Cooker in India.
