    シンプルな内容のシューティングゲーム「リパルス」。難易度は易しくなく、難しくなく適度に調整されていることに好感が持てる。自機を8方向レバーで操作し、ショットとバリアに2つのボタンを使用し、バリアの使用を抑えるほど、高いボーナス得点が得られる。エネルギーはヘリコプターから救援物資を受け取ることで補充され、連射で敵を攻撃できるようになる。発売元はセガ、開発は九呉貿易とされているが、実は九呉貿易が開発したものではなく、オルカの一部スタッフが開発に参加しているらしい。

    TIPS AND TRICKS -
    Power-up : After the middle of each stage there's a helicopter (a plane on 1st stage) that drops a power-up item. So, don't destroy it until it releases the power-up. Be careful with the helicopter scrap after destroying it, it can kill you.
    1up player : At the 2nd and 4th stage there is a chance to pick up a 1up item: a group of blocks appears floating on the upper part of the screen, you have to shoot the blue one. You have to hit it with one shot, if you don't, the blue block will turn to red.
    Moai Statues : be careful with the Moai Statues at the 6th stage (last stage). Always check if its eyes turn red, if it starts blinking it will shoot.

    I made plus 2.500.000 points in this game when i was 15 years old. It was one of my top 3 favourites games (the others are Flying Shark with 18.000.000 points & 1943 finishing twice in Solo Mode and several times in 2 Players Mode)

    This was also known as '99 - The Last War' and 'Son Of Phoenix'. at the time i first saw this as a child,
    i was very impressed with the pseudo 3D scaling effects and variety of enemies.
    very disappointing ending, though, you never get to see the alien mothership blow up.

    I used to have a lot of fun on playing this... Unfortunately this game was not a success because a fixed shooter was way too behind of the time, compared with the vertical scrolling shooters like 1942...

      It's an article which I examined by myself, but please refer to.
      The year of the establishment and bankruptcy of the game company that Mr. Tatsuya Uemura was involved in is as follows,
      Orca ... ⋆1978; †1983
      Crux ... ⋆1984; †1985
      Toaplan ... ⋆1979; †1994
      And Mr. Uemura has moved the company as follows,
      Orca(1983 (´゚д゚`))
      ->
      Crux(1984-1985 (´A`))
      ->

      That is to say, "Repulse" is developed in the Crux! (`゚д゚´)
