You don't understand how long I've been looking for this game. I played this game in the arcades when I was 8 yrs old in '88. I could never remember the name. All I remembered was it had 2 buttons(punch & jab), you fought in a warehouse and when you lost, someone came and threw you down a manhole... that was it.
Hahaha. Same here this was my favorite game. By chance I came across this channel. I remembered the guy in pink but had no clue what was the name of the game. Great memories
Same! I was 7 at the time, lol. Played it every week at the bowling alley while my parents bowled in a league, you had to learn to make your dollar worth of quarters LAST. LOL I couldn't remember this ones name until today seeing it online and I HAD to come find it here on youtube.
dude! reading your post it's like if i wrote it i also just to play this game and love it back in the late 80's and for the life of me i couldn't remember the name and if anyone is selling one i would love to buy it
I like that the leader doesn't have a gimmick. He doesn't cheap shot you. He didn't bring a blackjack or meteor hammer. He doesn't Hulk out. He's not especially acrobatic or a black belt. He's just a straight up puncher, same as the PC. And it's enough.
Played this at 9 years old in 1990s growing up in Santa Catalina Island, California There were 2 arcades in Catalina Island with a bunch of classics, Shinobi, Double Dragon 2, Final Fight, Kageki, Moratal Kombat 1, Street Fighter Champion Edition, Twin Cobra, Bunch of pinball and boliche games.

@@billymarino4452 Actually the funny part is, there are lot of people who look older than their age in real life so it's not really farfetched. Just like how there are people who look younger than their respectable age.

m2cks his not a real fighter just a show off swinging a big ball chain. But hitting him while he kept swinging can be hard, need to find a right weak spot.
Straight up bare fist boxing...I actually witnessed a real life match when I was in Japan as a kid and it felt illegal to watch I ran out and was scared, but that was early 90’s It’s safer to play the video game 😂

Look at me!! that's all I could remember of this arcade game in San Jose, but I played the hell out of it! =)))) memories "mom! look at me!! *pretends to backhand*" boy!! wth you think you're doing?! look at me! *gets backhanded back to my room* clean it up!
I've been looking for the name of another Ring King inspired arcade game. Kinda like this but with Bikers in alley that you would fight in sort of street fight. Gameplay was very ring king, except you would throw barrels and use chains
I had this game in the Megadrive and it was kinda fun but a tad dull. What I didn't like about the home port is that you're opponents would start randomly jumping all over the place to avoid your punches here. Still pretty neat.

You can now play it for free on fightcade 2.
"Wooo she's not bad"
"Is that all"
"You son of a gun"
"Hey lets fight"
"Get serious"
I remember this game way too much.
SOHGuy haha!!!!

Ahhhhhh Kageki. Used to love playing this game when I was 13. Could NEVER EVER reach the boss. Props bro

Nice. I played this in an old arcade as a kid, and remembered it being fun, but couldn't recall the name. (until now)
Sometimes i’ll just randomly say “YOU SON OF A GUN!” like the second guy you face in this lol
At 00:30 dude tried to run away but the karate guy was like, "Get to azz back in there!" 😂
I like how all your enemies sound like Ren Hoek. "Steeempy! He's MURDERING me!"
paf paf paf boom!
That guy in the top left corner (whom you fight in Round 5) is a future man from 2020 😅 I love the music in this game, by the way 👍
I used to play this at seven eleven. It was there for quite awhile. Overlooked gem
That first fight looked like Yusuke vs. Kuwabara.
you're right 😂
Hey, what a coincidence. I saw the Japanese version of this yesterday. I think the sound quality for the voices was better on that version.
When you join motorcycle gang in a tender age of 20, because the only person that could love your face said "Sorry son, that mess is too much even for me!"
I know it's only a game, but the characters in their bios look way older than 20. I guess people lived much harder back in 1988, lol.

I've never seen this game before but it looks amazing!
Guy that kept throwing dudes into manhole was Frank Costanza. I kid you not!
9:55 Why did that guy start with no health?

''It's that all?''
I remember this game. Lookin at it now, Id be more concerned about being thrown onto the sewers than losing the fight. Sheesh
We need a remake or sequel to this game!

Why do the game characters have big head ?
The Rarest Gamer Because it's 8-bit!
+Edward Gaines It's actually 16-bit, and yet still, that doesn't justify it. It's just art-style, really.
@@edwardgaines6561 is actually right. The game used two Z80 processors, which are 8-bit
@@solarflare9078 I'm pretty sure Welfz means the spritework is primarily 16-bit, which is why there was a sequel for the Mega Drive.
Rock hard game remember it in arcades

The main boss looks like a Bogdanoff brother.
This game lacked a variety of moves and you were only limited to punching your opponent, but other than that it wasn't bad a game.
"Adolf! Aine! Ten!" Japanese numerology
looks like Tom Cruise fighting
The men in the background look suspicious...
YOU GAT ME
all right maaaaaaaaaaaaan !!
Iv spend a lot of coins on this game when i was a kid
Butt out, man!
