    I miss sleeping outside along with a lot of things. Lol I must sleep like a rock because I don’t remember waking up for anything. I like your videos and keep on smiling.

    I loved your trek thru the Smokies. Watching your fears turn to amazing love of that section was beautiful to me. You would be amazing as a hiking coach ( not sure if that is the correct term) Your knowledge and encouragement is worth so much. Thank you again for an amazing video!✌️❤️

    great video as usual... was curious if you were going to put together a documentary type video that highlights your entire AT thru hike... I have seen several do that and I think with your editing skills and talent it would be worth watching

    If you haven't heard, it snowed 6" on Sunday, 10/16/23. The earliest it snowed in the Smokies.

    Really enjoyed your through hike vlog!
    What were the best sources for weather forecasts you found on the AT? Also, what was the music source for your vlog and do you think there are better ones at a similar price?
    Thanks so much for your AT vlog and post hike information. SEMPER FI to your son and thank your Dad for his service too! Thanks.

      Thank you! I’m happy you enjoyed my vlog. I used atweather.org because it offered weather for the shelter you wanted to target but I’ll say that it wasn’t always accurate so looking at local weather on your weather app when you have a signal could help. Also used my Garmin inreach Mini 2 for weather.
      I have used a few sources for music. Still a bit of trial and error. Pretty much all my AT videos use the stock music in iMovie. I’ve recently used some Creator Mix and just started using Epidemic Sound which has great music but costs $$$. Of course I like Epidemic Sound best.
      Thank you for your respect for our Marine ♥️🙏

    Hi ! Watching your video now, and yes I have a question, which brand head net did you say was the best ? I remember watching an episode where you stated that one was hard to see through ? And the other was better ? But I don't remember if it was sea to summit? Or Ben's that you liked ? , thank you .
    Grant.

    • @TeaParty45
      @TeaParty45 Год назад +1

      Quite certain she recommended the Ben’s bug net over “Sea to Summit” because it was a lot easier to see through (if not, I just returned my “Sea to Summit” and got Ben’s for nothing!).

    • @chasingblazes2022
      @chasingblazes2022  Год назад +1

      Hey there! Thanks for watching!
      Yes I recommended the Ben’s brand which I liked better than my Sea to Summit for a couple reasons. 1) the Ben’s was easier to see through compared to the S2S. And 2) because it had an elastic that helped secure it on my hat.

      Oh wow thank you. I was fortunate to be able to fund my thru hike by saving up for it. I didn't want viewers to donate to me. It was more than I could have asked for by having so many people subscribe and view my vlogs. That meant everything to me.

    I love your advice of testing your ability to sleep in the woods. It shows a good understanding of "risk mitigation" concepts. Great video for folks who are considering a thru-hike and need to ID and address their own fears.

      Thank you. It was the best way to determine if I believed I could handle it or if it was a deal breaker before hitting the trail.
