The Cura 5.6 does have the Elegoo built-in but this video was a lifesaver if for no other reason than and OK to punt the ships-with branded Cura. Big help, got my grandson up and running without any of that first run grampa fail. Thanks!
I really appreciate the simplicity, in which you explained everything and showed exactly what to do. More videos should be like yours where it’s simple, clear and to the point! Subscribed!
Just purchased an Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus - first few prints were sliced using Elegoo's Cura 4 - have just switched to Cura 5 and followed your instructions to add the profiles. Had to reset Cura 5 to start with, and then followed your instructions and everything worked perfectly so far. Off to run a test print. Thank you!
Thank you so much, I just got my Neptune 3 pro delivered this morning and before this i manually entered some code last week.. now I can do it properly.
It's great to know these printers have been officially added to the newest Cura build. Great video I went ahead, and installed the latest build of Cura, and these showed up automatically, I did have to factory reset the settings because it detected the files from the Elegoo Cura build, and said they were corrupted, oh well lol.
these machines are already updated on Cura - I was hoping for Neptune 4. However, your video was very good at doing this and in the future I will keep a look out for the update. In the mean time I will purchase another machine other than Elegoo - if a company can't update their software they don't need my money. Thanks again Brian . . . .
@@deanwest1805yep verified, I just checked and there’s a RESOURCES-Cura5.4.0 folder which has the Neptune 4 pro files in the definitions folder. I’m going to try the definitions tonight for my new Neptune 4 Pro.
I came across your video today. I was hopping someone would do something like this. Leave it to Naruto. I've printed three things so far today using the Neptune 3 settings and all came out great. I got tired of having to modify the Ender 3 settings. Thank you Bryan.
this is AWESOME!! Thank you. My old laptop wouldn't load the Elegoo Cura software, but it could load 5.2, this allows me to access the Neptune 3 Pro profile.
perfect video I just got my Neptune 3 Max and this perfect step by step video was a huge help. Now I just need to find the settings for printing full size star wars helmets.
I noticed at some point they released an updated version of Elegoo Cura 5.6 that has updated profiles for the neptune 3 series also. I took the settings from those and translated them to Orca slicer, they seem to work pretty well.
Just got the neptune 4 pro and was missing my cura 5.4 im used to...worked a treat and that databse has pro4 setting in so thanks a lot for your very helpful video.....Regards from Tasmania....
Thank you so much for this!! I currently own the Neptune X and Neptune 3 Pro and have been stuck using Elegoo's version of Cura (didn't even know there were different versions aside from the version number). I'm looking forward to the review of the Neptune 3 Pro, as I have not been able to use mine yet due to hotend issues out of the box. The Neptune X has been a workhorse for me though
Elegoo version cura that bad? I just got my printer was going to start with elegoo cura first anyway but now I saw this video..... Idk I mean how bad can 4.something be
Great video, but it didn't fix my issue with Cura not finding the profile info for my regular Neptune 3, 'There are no profiles that match the configuration' is what comes up. To make things worse, even the Elegoo download doesn't work as my M1 Mac says the file is broken and won't work.
thank you very much for this. I had copy and pasted the GCode from the Elegoo Cura over but it bothered me that i had a Ender Logo, lol. This video made it simple
I just received the Neptune 4Pro, and there is no information available yet. I was hoping to understand how to import some of the vast number of print formats into files that the Neptune 4 can understand, and it appears there is little conversion software available. Elegoo has not been helpful in this regard.
im having difficulty. i added the printer easily, but i cannot get it to print in the center. its printing just to the right of the center. is there a setting in cura to change it based on the x/y home settings. I have neptune 3 pro.
SO why is it when I select this or any printer from the list it only show 1/2 of the Z height ad will not let me slice something tall that it is capable of printing
cura 5.4 build currently has a majority of neptune profiles already included...However they do not have a profile for Neptune 4 pro which sucks because I just ordered that printer.
Awesome! however 5.30 ultimate cura we can find elegoo 3, plus & max, but i cant set thumbnail on lcd screen elegoo 3 plus unless i using elegoo software. can i using to get thumbnail 5.30 ultimate cura with that?
I am new to 3D printing and just purchase Ultimaker, and even the version that is came pre-loaded isn't allowing me to print anything other than the 2 pre-loaded test runs. Anytime I slice and try to print something else I get told "Move out of Range" I have been trying to fix this for almost a week and no one can seem to help. Can you??
Long shot here but I don't suppose you know how to add a new nozzle diameter to cura? I want to use my revo 0.25mm nozzle but there is no 0.25mm option in cura
Hi, the only place I know to change that is in the Materials selector. It's the middle section of that big bar across the top area of Cura's window, immediately below the PREPARE PREVIEW MONITOR buttons. So, where it shows the name of your filament, click there to get the details. You'll get a Material menu and a Nozzle Size menu. On mine, the Nozzle Size menu has 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 06, 0.8, and 1.0mm nozzles. Pick the one that matches your actual nozzle size and you should be good.
@@BV3D yeah it's just that there's no actual option for 0.25mm, only 0.2 or 0.3 so I was wondering if a 0.25mm nozzle option could be added in some way in a similar fashion to adding more printers like in the video
Hi Bryan: In the last version of Ultimaker Cura (V.5.6.0) there is a slice for Elegoo Neptune 3 plus inside. Do you know if this slice works correctly? Thank you
Hi, I am 99% sure the current version of Cura has the same profiles I was showing how to install in the video. So the ones you have in 5.6.0 should be the correct ones.
So to use the latest version of Cura w/ the profiles for Elegoo Neptune 3's, you have to use Cura on a PC? Can't change what's on the printer itself? Ohhh, looks like they have a Linux version as well....thought it was going to be Win and Mac only.
I just got the Nep 4 Max and already have the Cura 5.6.0 but it's not listed with it, Yet. Is there any patches for that out there? Or am I stuck with the older version until someone makes a patch?
Hi! It does, and I'm glad - it saves people the effort of doing this, AND it shows that Cura rolls these printer definitions into the product on a regular basis. It's a win for everyone!
hello thanks for this tutorial but is it normal that the start and end gcode are not exactly the same in the elegoo from cura and the "normal" cura? thanks from France ;)
Hey, I loaded my sd card at home and am working out of town, my printer seemed to have deleted some files on the sd card. Tried the files at home and they worked, but now that I’m away from the computer.. nothing is working. Have any ideas?
What if I have Elegoo Cura 4.8 already installed?? Do I install Cura 5.3 over existing or fresh new install THEN apply files according to your video? Or, apply files first and do 5.3 upgrade?

Admittedly, I tried this with Cura 5.6, but it doesn't seem to work. The Neptune 4 Pro does not show up as an option under non-networked printers. Is this because the github limits to cura 5.4 and I use 5.6, or is there something else playing?
Brian, thanks again for another great video! This may have been answered before but I was wondering if there was a similar solution for Creality printers. I have an Ender-3 S1 Pro. I've taken an Ender 3 machine profile and modified it best I could but I think having the correct profile files would make better prints. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Is anyone getting Configuration errors when restarting Cura. Mine says it seems to be corrupt. Something wrong with the profile Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro, elegoo global 020 normal
Hey Bryan, I downloaded the latest version of Cura and followed the steps provided when I try and slice a model I get the notice nozzle not supported. I have the Neptune 3 max have you run into this issue?
I just got a Neptune 3 max and got it setup today. Got into cura to find no profiles for it Found this video. And was able to get the profile setup. But playing with cura, I see I don't have the option to change nozzle sizes.. I have the option on my other printers. Not for this max. Anyone know how to fix this?
Extremely helpful and to the point. I really appreciate your not adding filler just to extend the video length. This earns you another subscriber.
Awesome, thank you! Also, please note that as of Cura 5.3, it has these printers already in it.
Elegoo support sent me that link last week when I questioned them about cura not having their latest printers. Nice job presenting it. Thank you!

Yeah, I have the 4 pro and Neptunes slicer is so laggy it's virtually unusable. Unfortunately Naruto hasn't updated his files.
I just checked the repo and he added the Neptune 4 pro 6 months ago.
