The Cura 5.6 does have the Elegoo built-in but this video was a lifesaver if for no other reason than and OK to punt the ships-with branded Cura. Big help, got my grandson up and running without any of that first run grampa fail. Thanks!

Just purchased an Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus - first few prints were sliced using Elegoo's Cura 4 - have just switched to Cura 5 and followed your instructions to add the profiles. Had to reset Cura 5 to start with, and then followed your instructions and everything worked perfectly so far. Off to run a test print. Thank you!

these machines are already updated on Cura - I was hoping for Neptune 4. However, your video was very good at doing this and in the future I will keep a look out for the update. In the mean time I will purchase another machine other than Elegoo - if a company can't update their software they don't need my money. Thanks again Brian . . . .

Cool.. the Neptune 3 Plus looking like the one I will replace my troublesome Tronxy X5SA printer with?
The only thing I worry about after seeing your awesome review of the Elegoo Neptune Plus printer is, you showed the bed has 6 adjustment leveling knobs for the bed height.
After having the Neptune 3 printer with no adjustment knobs for the bed due to the auto leveling on it, I worry about doing the adjustments to the bed leveling?
After all, that is one of the reasons for the trouble I am having with the Tronxy printer bed leveling!
So is the 6 leveling knobs of the Plus causing you any worries? As It be bad to buy this as the Tronxy replacement and then find out the manual 6 knob leveling of the bed is as bad as the Tronxy!
Also the power loss recovery you said don't work on the Neptune 3 Plus, do you think Elegoo will fix this with a update firmware soon and if so will they tell the buyers to update it?
    Thanks for the help. 😉

I have some questions, though (I'm a beginner, so sorry in advance ;D).
Using your method, the new Printhead Seetings in Ultimaker Cura (V5.2.2) differ from the old ones in ELEGOO Cura for some reason.
I'm using an ELEGOO Neptune 3 Pro and the settings are the following:
ELEGOO Cura Printhead Settings / Ultimaker Cura Printhead Settings:
    X min: -20 mm / -55 mm
    Y min: -10 mm / -35 mm
    X max: 10 mm / 55 mm
    Y max: 10 mm / 30 mm
    Gantry Height: 285 mm / 260 mm
    Number of Extruders: 1 / 1
Are the different Printhead Settings ok like that, or should I change the values back to the ones that were used in ELEGOO Cura?
Also in Ultimaker Cura there is the option "Apply Extruder offsets to GCode" available and ticked now - is that important here?
    Thanks a lot! :)

Sorry I got the 4 Pro.
but there is not much difference between the Neptune 4 and the Neptune 4 pro
Neptune 4 Pro has an 'all metal dual-axis guide rails' and 'double-row ball U-shaped bearing' on the X and Y axis'. The non-pro has POM V-guide rails.
The Neptune Pro has a segmented heated zones (one section at 100w and the other at 150w). This allows for smarter and quicker heating of the print surface in some scenarios. The non-pro has a single 250w heating element below the build plate.

    • @BV3D

Hi, the only place I know to change that is in the Materials selector. It's the middle section of that big bar across the top area of Cura's window, immediately below the PREPARE PREVIEW MONITOR buttons. So, where it shows the name of your filament, click there to get the details. You'll get a Material menu and a Nozzle Size menu. On mine, the Nozzle Size menu has 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 06, 0.8, and 1.0mm nozzles. Pick the one that matches your actual nozzle size and you should be good.

    • @SengirIndustries

I just got a Neptune 3 max and got it setup today. Got into cura to find no profiles for it
Found this video. And was able to get the profile setup. But playing with cura, I see I don't have the option to change nozzle sizes.. I have the option on my other printers. Not for this max. Anyone know how to fix this?
