Thankyou for this video I have been looking at all different pumps trying to figure out what to buy I watched your video regarding the different makes and price and running cost as I was going to go for a expensive make but now will buy one of these 👍 great video
Just purchased one from my local shop maidenhead aquatics in Carlisle. Fitted it to my two ponds with a rise of 3.2ft pumps up the hill no problem and ive checked the flow rate its 9300litres rather than the 8000 advertised. My neighbour has just bought the larger one 10000 litres and it pumps at 9700litres. He paid a lot more but is only getting slightly more flow. no problems so far
I have two ponds one above the other with a tiny waterfall between the two. MY old laguna pump managed to push the water up the hill the total rise is 3.2ft over a distance of 26 feet It finally packed up a few weeks ago after 14 years. I wonder if this will do the job
Great video. I bought the Pondomax Eco 5000 earlier this year feeding into a Eazypod filter and I haven't had to touch it at all. This is the first year I've had this set up and with my previous set up I used to leave it running all the year round. On the blurb for the pump it says it is not frost proof. I'm in the UK so we don't really get Canadian temperatures so do you think it will cope fine ? As the eazypod is exposed (not in a filter house) do you think I'd need to cover that with some sort of insulated jacket or do you think because the water will be moving inside, it would be ok ?
I have a 10500 one of these I got for 120 over a Yr ago and it's still going strong I'm a big believer that expensive is only a mony scam anyway.. I live on a budget 🤣🤣 its nice to see someone bigging up the budget market 😎😎 I've just made my pond bigger so looking to get a 17k version now
Strange. I have changed quite a lot of Pontec pumps. I do not use Oase since i was disappointed after the quality drop since 2008. I swear there was nothing better like Ubbink Elimax or Powermax before that day. I just changed such pumps broken after 12 years running without any maintenance. Nowodays i lost hope. Aqua forte is what we use mostly, but it os a Chinese rebranded pump after all.
I have been converted as I was thinking about new pumps and was looking into Oase aquamax eco classic range, which are great pumps and quite good value, however, having looked into this further was impressed with the Pontec range, which is manufactured by Oase, and after listening to your video was convinced regarding durability and reliability and look forward to spending considerably less. Thank you and well done!
Nothing wrong with that to the point and very worthwhile information. 🙂 Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

Hi ya mate, would those be OK for a blade probably pumping up around 4ft?
Yes just check the blade recommended flow rate

How high would it pump water.
Are they available in Canada?
can you get this pump in America?
Does this pump stand the cold winter or does it need to be removed?
It’s fine all year best to keep running
@@thep0ndman is too much pump bad for a pond? for example if I would buy this pump for 1000g pond is overkill and would actually mess stuff up?
