She jump up and said, "WTF!" She told her brothers friends girl to get on the phone and translate. She told me she tought I said Negro. It was translated come to find out the translator is Salvi.
But the reason why it's ingrained is because it still exists in North America is because racism is still evident to this day. Keeps being portrayed and perpetrated of this racism there.
I've seen Dominican tourist videos, of Dominicans asking tourists where they are from? Yelling out Moreno de donde sos? Do to the camera they know they are tourists.

Good hat, man! It is a felt hat, which is compressed wool, in other words good quality hat. If you take good care of it you can pass it down to your grand kids. $35 would have been a good starting offer and let her go from there. There is lot of people in those markets with real need of financial help. If the item is $1 or less I wouldn't even bargain with them because I know they need the help. But in a high item over $20 then I ask them if they could let it go for less. Best wishes for you man. Take care.
