Haha scene kids are indeed rare these days. I can see you had trouble finding any guys with fringes left. Still a few females kicking about here and there. Got to admit I used to be a scene kid, but about 4 years ago I just grew my hair out and became a metalhead that mostly dons trackies. You definitely missed a good Funeral for a Friend reference. They were my favourites along with Silverstein, Aiden, Senses Fail and A Static Lullaby (all early stuff, of course *does hipster pose*).
Haha cool. Yes, I was a FFAF fan, went to lots of gigs in the 00s, good times. I was already in my 20s then so couldn't really adopt the full emo style - just the fringe hair style, without dye. I do miss the music and scenes of the 00s. It was the last time, it seems, they really existed, together with a strong rock music scene.
Senses fail and FFAF were very good indeed. My favourite emo bands were Underoath, Escape the Fate but especially Brand New, who don't have anything to do with the scene style, so I guess they guided me out of emo into being more of an alternative doomer.
