- Aaaaand another Death song from the Sound of Perseverance album. Also a song which I wanted to record for a long time and now finally got it done in I a way I'm satisfied with.

The one thing I like about this cover is that it is done by someone who actually understands what does that music need, is able to pull it off, have fun and you don't give a shit when he messes up, because he's so entertaining. Man... I wish I'll ever find some musicians like you.
Thank you very much for your kind words! For me it's always more important to develop an own style and have fun than to be able to play everything perfectly. I also recommend you to be as open as you can and listen to all kind of different genres. When I started playing bass I only listened and wanted to play metal and I think I really missed some opportunities because I didn't like other peoples music tastes and didn't try to understand why they like something more than I do. But at the moment I'm pretty happy at where I am, so luckily I changed my mind a little bit :)

I just love how the bass and the guitar work together so damn well. If Chuck were still here, just imagine the bass/guitar harmonies.

How do you even get a dry tone like that? Even fresh strings on my bass can’t get that tone, they sound very bassy. Good cover btw.
Thanks man! I honestly can't tell you how exactly I did it because this cover is already 5 years old (it's really time for a new one ^^), but I guess I might just had pushed the highs and mids a lot on the onboard bass preamp (most Ibanez basses have a pretty flexible active preamp) and then also did the same on my preamp pedal (if I even used one). I also don't think I had the newest strings on the bass, so it's mostly just the bass sound itself. Just try to experiment and then you maybe achieve a similar tone :)

hi dude，i have the same bass. the body is very light，i can not keep the balance when sitting. how can u play it seated？
You can see he's using a strap even when sitting, that's why the bass is balanced.
I play with mine between my legs like how youd play a V

These are basically the same basslines as in the original, I just added some little notes and improvised a little bit ;)
