Popular radio personality "Sasha the Diva" is caught in the middle of a tumultuous relationship between her 42-year-old husband of two years, Kevin, and her 17-year-old son, Dominique. Since remarrying, Sasha's husband's harsh parenting style and her son's rebellious behavior have left the family in ruins. As the damage piles up, Iyanla intervenes to open the lines of communication between all three family members, before it is too late.

Let's see HIS list. He showed a few things that we can add as well.
He doesnt even like him in the smallest way. His entire focus is on a smear campaign and a routine demonization of Dominique. He is competing with the son. The primary issue is the husband’s emotional immaturity. Dominique is a CHILD, yet the husband has gone out of his way to make his own hurt feelings the priority. Instead of saying, my feelings were hurt by the child, but building a relationship with my stepson is more important, he has taken every opportunity to punish him emotionally and physically, by breaking down his confidence, building a wedge between him and his mother, and beating him for his disobedience when there are greater issues that need to be addressed.

I love how good Iyanla is at centering the children in these family situations. Parents/caregivers focus so much on the things kids are doing wrong and don't stop to look at WHY.
She has a difficult time trusting him with her son because he's proven that he's a violent, controlling, my way or the highway, type of man. Smh

I married my husband when my dom was 11. I made sure my son accepted him and my husband accepted my son. I sent my son to Kansas, where my husband lived for a week, and his daughter came to me. 38 years later our son loves him and he loves him and our grandchildren. If my son had told me he was mistreated I would not have married him.

This reminds me of my stepdad. He was so jealous of my relationship with my mom that he accused her and I of sleeping together and even claimed he actually saw us. Funny thing is, i didn’t even spend a lot of time with my mom. I spent most of my time on my computer.

This is one episode that ends in a way that I didn't expect. The turmoil was so huge before an agreement was reach and finally peace settled in the family.
