As a son of a mother who got remarried, I completely understand Dominique’s feelings. The situation was slightly different but I can definitely relate.
I married my husband when my dom was 11. I made sure my son accepted him and my husband accepted my son. I sent my son to Kansas, where my husband lived for a week, and his daughter came to me. 38 years later our son loves him and he loves him and our grandchildren. If my son had told me he was mistreated I would not have married him.
