Mark , I would love to see Coach Hurley implement the Full-Court Press from time to time- on all or most of the good teams they play ! UCONN bench is so deep that they can rotate fresh players all the time , unless 2 or more players get into Foul trouble ! Wear your opponents down ! Battle of attrition & conditioning !

One of Hurleys fundamentals is transitional defense...he will not see his team get burned on fast breaks. The deliberate offenses wear down opponents already. Why play a desperation trap game?

@@daveharaske6755 I understand, but it's another Tool in Coach Hurley's Toolbox & it would take team's out of their wheelhouse. Sporadically at different stages of a game.....

@@willmorrisusa traps are for when youre 2 pts behind and you gamble for a turnover. Its just not an offensive strategy, its a tactic.

Man, if we get a close to Adama Sanogo type of production (on the glass and just overall motor) from Tarris Reed this team will be lethal.

How about if Tarris Reed (6'10", 265 lbs) is closer to Emeka Okafor than Adama Sanogo. Or maybe a combination of the best of both?
Okafor - elite shot blocker and rebounder, extremely talented inside scorer and defender, not a great free throw shooter, 6'10", 250 lbs
Sanogo - mediocre shot blocker and good rebounder, very good inside scorer and defender, ok 3 point shooter, ok free throw shooter, 6'9", 240 lbs

So Reed was almost a McDonald's All-American & I heard that there were people that thought Ahmad Nowell was one- because he was so good in H.S. !

This formula of two big men, each with a different skill set rotating in and out of the lineup is one of the main reason UConn has won back to back titles…it presents a difficult matchup for other teams to match up with traditional or same type of big men…

Hurley said a few weeks back that this might be his most talented roster. Top to bottom it probably is it will be fascinating to see a great coach with alot to play with!!

They needed a big that won't get pushed around against some teams. Providence and Saint John's pushed us around some. Now they won't

Johnson needs to stay on the floor. Even in the BE he racked up a lot of fouls which put him on the bench. I really like his play but rebounding is not his game. Nor is he the passer than Clingan is.
Reed is intriguing. Watching his highlights gives me hope that he can contribute. The only question I have is his hands on the catch. Not clear if it’s on him or his guards.
