I am guessing that you are a super teacher in the classroom. Why this guess by me? Simple: Judging by this video, you were perfectly clear in all manner of instruction. Bravo! Thank you!
I cannot thank you enough for posting these amazing videos! You are a teacher life saver in these times when we need to teach from home and learn everything at lightning speed!
Thank you! As a math teacher, the only reason I had Google classroom set up was to make it easier to set up Khan Academy. Needless to say, been using it a lot more lately. The first week I was grading pictures of students work. What a nightmare! On week 3 now and your tutorials have been so helpful.
I am getting ready to set up my own Google Classroom and i can see by others the amount of emails that are now coming to their mail box. It is driving folks crazy. You can't even see the mail from the Principle LOL. I don't want this to happen to me so i looked , like I always do for a solution and you made the video. Thanks for the assistance as if you watch on from 2015, it won't be the same steps as technology changes fast. I appreciate this.
This video address more for teacher side. I am sure helpful for them. I was hoping to find more tips as parent of student. and it's not covered much here. As assignment posting/announcement/materials from teachers also gets overwhelming in emails and distract attention on focusing the right/important ones, especially for parent helping younger children to monitor class assignment in pandemic era.
hi! I am a student and have been using google classroom since the outbreak of this pandemic. I used to receive mail notifications on new messages and assignments posted by my teachers until 4 days ago. But I have stopped receiving any notifications abruptly. I only get notified when a teacher has returned my assignment. i checked in the settings but all notification options are turned on, although I am not receiving any mail. This is bad for my classes as i have to constantly check the classroom many times a day to see if any new work has been posted, it was way easier when i used to receive mails. Please help if you can
I'm a bit confused about you stating that the "Class Notifications" section is for classes that you are like a Co-Teacher in. I am seeing every class for me listed here. Classes that I created, classes that I am student in, and classes that I am a co-teacher in. Would you mind clarifying? TIA
You are correct, all classes you remember of will appear there. My point was that co-teachers have more control to turn off notifications for classes they are just monitoring.
Great video! I am a planning time teacher and I am in 6 different google classrooms. Is there a way to only get notifications that pertain to my posts? I turned my notifications off last year but I felt like I was missing comments so I turned them back on again but I was getting hundreds of emails a day. Hope you can help!
Sadly no. The only other option I can think of would be to create a filter in Gmail. But you would have to be pre-creative to filter everything but your own post.

Very useful, thx!
What software did You use to make this video. I’m trying to fine one that I can use to teach lessons. Was it screen recorder-O-Magic?
Todd, Check out Screencastify for chrome
Is there a way to turn off private comments? I want my students to email me any questions or concerns they have about a particular assignment
No, that is not an option at this time.
