(in spite of what the Sequels tried to do) But I think it's also worth bearing in mind the types of "magick" used. Most Force effects are telekinetic in nature (with the exception of Force Lightning, and mind control) if you watch Dr's Scarabus and Craven (from the Raven) they exhibit a much wider range of effects; elemental, energy projection, transfiguration, personal levitation, summoning, compulsion, shapeshifting. It would be an interesting contest, for sure.

Have you watched The Magicians from Syfy? You should it's a great TV show about magic, a kind of crossover between Harry Potter and Narnia but university level and with much darker subjects in the story. (you makes me think of the mix of two of the characters (Eliot and Quentin 😊). And this video made me think a lot about The Magicians too.
