summary of everything I'll be writing: most worth it are the IPad pro M1 11-inch 3rd gen OR iPad pro 2020 12.9-inch. if you don't have the budget for it go for the iPad 9 or iPad 10. if you're willing to splurge get the newest iPad pros!

hello! just a few (several actually) insights from a fellow iPad nerd. here are some pros and cons to getting each iPad imo:
**********
iPad 9/iPad 10:
PROS:
- cheap!
- you'll get pretty much the same use as you would the other iPads (even with the iPad 9)
- iPad 10 doesn't look outdated anymore with the new design.
- you can now attach a keyboard case to the iPad 10
CONS:
- both only support apple pencil 1st gen (which isn't a big deal)
- the iPad 10 can't charge the apple pencil 1st gen without a dongle :"(
- speakers aren't as good as the other iPads
- non-laminated displays (there's an air gap between the surface you're writing on and the display)
**********
iPad mini 6th gen:
PROS:
- vvv portable!
- supports the 2nd gen apple pencil (charges by connecting it to the iPad magnetically)
- cheap as well
CONS:
- small size can be limiting especially with multitasking
- apple doesn't support keyboard cases with the iPad mini
- jelly scroll (i don't really mind it myself but i know some people can be irritated by it)

iPad air 5:
PROS:
- you get a lot of the functionalities of the iPad pro with a cheaper price!
- fully laminated display (feels like you're writing on the actual tablet)
- 2nd gen pencil
- M1 chip! so fast (and can be overkill at times lol)
- can be connected to a monitor + stage manager
CONS:
- 60 Hz display. if you don't know what this means, you probably won't notice or see it as a con.
- speakers are worse than the iPad pro (not by a lot)
- limited storage options (64gb and 256gb only)
**********
iPad Pro 11 M1/M2:
(fyi: the M1 is the older version but they don't have that many differences imo)
PROS:
- more portable and lighter than the 12.9 inch
- amazing speakers like srsly it's better than my macbook's
- has a LIDAR scanner for more accurate 3d modeling. also has face ID instead of touch ID
- will be supported by apple for a longer time due to the power of the M1/M2 (same as the iPad air)
- 120 Hz display, so smoothhh
- camera at the back has a 0.5 mode
- can be connected to a monitor + stage manager
CONS:
- expensiveeeee
- worse at multitasking than the 12.9 inch (but still absolutely doable)
iPad Pro 12.9 M1/M2:
PROS:
- everything i wrote in the pros of the iPad pro 11 but bigger :>
- better display
CONS:
- hella!!!! expensive. if you're on a budget, you can maybe get the 12.9 2020 gen. however, with that, you're not getting the M1/M2 chip.
- bulky and heavy. feels like you're carrying around a laptop.

PERSONAL TIPS:
- most people don't NEED an iPad pro! especially the 12.9 inch. you can really just go with lower models and it will give you about 90% of the uses.
- if you do plan on getting an IPad pro, go to the refurbished section of apple or buy secondhand. i personally got mine (iPad pro, 11-inch, 3rd gen, M1) for about 45-50% off and it works perfectly
- there are other stylus options for the iPad! if you're not an artist who needs pressure sensitivity, you can search for some styluses on Amazon or shopee or wherever as long as they're fitted for the iPad that you end up choosing :>.
- you can always go samsung or xiaomi or any other tablet! i just happen to know more about the iPads.
I've written down too many things hehe but i do wish the best for your tablet journey. I'm sure you'll find one that'll suit your needs.

It’s a screen protector. It’s called paperlike. I have the screen protector and it’s pretty good but it’s expensive.
Don’t buy paperlike buy those magnetic screen protector that feels like paper cause it won’t damage your Apple pen 🖊 and it’s removable ❤
