      Hi Bella! It's always so surreal to hear about others experiences in life that are completely different than what you thought prior. I've had this realization talking to others and this is why I wanted to share my own experiences. It's so important to talk about to know we aren't alone :) I am so happy to hear that you were able to push past your struggles in life as well! It takes a very strong person to do it!

    This has been so interesting to me. I’m a freelance creative and have adopted a child as a single adopter. I prioritise high-quality food, trips and hobbies for my boy over new car, etc, do my own home DIY. I’m glad that this has been a thing in your upbringing also. I don’t use credit card (or pay in full end of month) and have a big emergency fund so that my boy feels safe financially.

      Hi Amanda! That’s so amazing to hear that you adopted as a single parent as well :) I love that you prioritize experiences as those way more valuable in my opinion than material things. It’s also great you being financial smart and building up a savings for his future :)

      I 100% agree! While it isn't something I wish upon anyone, I do think it makes you a stronger individual and teaches you life lessons along the way. I am so happy to hear you were able to come out smarter and stronger as well :)

    I’ve looked up to you for the way you work hard and get things done in this niche. You really inspired me to keep going and finishing my makeup school 😊 I appreciate the honest talk and look forward to the next one.
    I am a mom of 3 little ones and I understand it’s not for everyone to be a parent, but it’s also not true that being a stay at home parent would have you feeling like you’re unproductive, and it’s quite the opposite. You may have it all as a parent, just maybe not all at the same time. The time period of being a stay at home with your little one is only for a season and I’ve personally have chosen to cherish it. My school program was supposed to be 2 years but I got pregnant twice 😂 so after 4 years I’ve finally finished my course.

      Aww thank you so much! Congrats on finishing makeup school - that's an amazing accomplishment :) I apologize if that statement about being a stay at home mom came off wrong! I was moreso saying that statement from my own perspective and what would align with my life the best. Almost all of my friends have kids and absolutely love it and stay quite busy! That's great that you've managed to still go for your goals while being a mom :)

    People always say they can’t make a career change because of finances. This is relevant to your career content-as a money professional I can say so 😊

      Aww thank you so much! It's most of the times (at least from what I've found in my own experience) it's one's mindset that's actually holding them back and not any external factors like money.

    Omg I cannot even grasp the concept of having to live off of credit cards all the time and having 'credit scores' as a means to measure my 'wealth' or something? I Belgium we don't have this, it isn't even allowed to go as far as people do in the US. Let alone tens of thousands of dollars in student loans... We mostly pay for things in cash or with a checking or savings account. That's unheard of here. Our yearly college costs are at most € 700 dollars maybe... A lot of it is funded by the government of course, that helps too.

      @julieruby  Месяц назад +1

      Wow that’s just crazy how countries operate so differently! Thank you so much for sharing! The US is such a capitalist society that the government doesn’t care about its citizens unfortunately, only the amount of money they can make from them.

    Thank you so much for this video! Thank you so much for being so raw in your episodes and thank you so much for shedding some light into my dark credit score rabbit hole! I also wanna say that having someone with you, cheering you on, and helping influence you with their financial mindset really helps. So happy for you that you found your husband!

      Aww you are so sweet! Thank you so much! I do want to say that you WILL get out of it, but it will take A LOT of will power and persistence. If you can afford it getting a financial planner is smart or start putting a small amount of money aside after each paycheck. Some banks even have an auto transfer to help you save money :)
