    Mesmerizingly musical demo of an immensely inspiring tool. I just got one second hand.
    Awesome job. Keep 'em coming, Ponderer!

    Nabbed two of these to free up sends on my Apollo. I'm supplying 3 stereo channels, this frees up four sends.
    It couldn't be easier to use, the knobs are assigned to each column output. Noon is unity gain with +6 dB of boost available.
    This thing is super quiet and I'm thinking about picking up a third to split my guitar signal chain to the Axe and Apollo; I can run both at the same time with the UA real-time plugins. Plus now I have ins for a bass and other instruments.
    Great pedal!

      Thanks mate, really appreciate that! I’m working on getting stuff out musically, I’m mid interstate move at the moment so it’ll be a month or so before I can seriously start finishing up an EP. Keep an eye here and on Insta 👍🏼

    Had a thought in August 2022, as a couple forthcoming batches of Matrise were recently announced: Matrise + (in 3 of its loops) Signal Blender+Switchblade Pro+Tri-Parallel Mixer=all the parallel/serial/feedback I could want?! I only need the Matrise, 1st!

      Would it at least be very sane of me to get a Matrise?
      I am not sure if I should wait for stereo ones to be released (possibly in 2023), or if I should keep looking at other similar or vaguely similar options… 😅

  • @darrencruz8952

    I’m still so lost, but this demo is amazing and I just snagged me a matrise! I’m sure it would be much easier to grasp once you’re actually using it and creating patch loops and such!

      Thanks for watching! I’ll admit this is a lot less informative than my usual demos but I felt there would just be too much reading to fully divulge what was happening. Decided to go for brief descriptions. I’ll be doing a different series of vids starting soon and this will definitely get a revisit in one of them. Hope you enjoy your matrise, don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions 👍🏼

      Ponderer Sounds ok so it came in, this thing does the whole Andy othling parallel trick amazingly well, but the option for some inputs to go into each other’s outputs, and one input able to listen to multiple outputs in parallel including itself, and pedals feedbacking into themselves, and jeeeez too many options to count! This thing is probably the ultimate utility pedal, and once it’s in your hands, it literally takes 15 minutes to master it!

    This looks super neat, and I will probably get one when they stock up, but... I was really hoping this would be like the VFE klein bottle. I mean, I think it is kinda close? But it doesn't seem to have that endless looping bit, unless I missed something. Either way pretty demo, awesome pedal, I to buy it please.

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  4 года назад +1

      It can do the endless looping thing, I just didn’t demonstrate that exactly. Thanks for watching!

  • @lcglazer
    @lcglazer 4 года назад

    How does this compare to VFE Klein Bottle? I would also like a more clear labeling of the knobs and signal flows. I looked up Pladask’s manual and even they don’t divulge. Not sure if their buyers like to take plunges based on mystique factor!

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  4 года назад +1

      The knobs ‘labels’ change depending on how it’s plugged into things. Best education for use is to familiarise yourself with the basics of a 4x4 matrix mixer. The rest really depends on how you apply it. Thanks for watching!

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  4 года назад +1

      Oh and in regards to the VFE this can do the same things and doesn’t have a noisy ground floor that I’ve heard on the Klein.

    • @drpibisback7680
      @drpibisback7680 3 года назад +3

      It's a visual system. Each input on the right has a horizontal row of mix controls, 1 for each output. All you need to do to find the right knob is follow a straight line inwards from the input and output jacks you want to use. Where those imaginary lines form a right angle is where the knob you want is. It sounds complex, but it becomes second nature quite quickly.

      @@ponderersounds3172 where are this controls?

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  2 года назад +2

      Well if you are running to outputs as a stereo pair you just choose how much volume each input is sending to an output. 100% volume to one side is a hard pan 70% to one side 30% to the other is a softer pan etc.

    I'm really confused, but I think this thing can do most of the things that the EHX Tri Parallel Mixer and the OBNE Signal Blender can do... but for some reasons I found this thing complicated at first. Maybe I'll get one and check how it works :)... I also really want a cassette mixer but the prices are going up like crazy (some tascam portastudio are really expensive!)... So I think I'll grab some walkman on ebay... Do you have any suggestion on those?

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  4 года назад +3

      It’s really easy to get the hang of, it just takes a lot of explaining and I really wanted this to be about the sounds more than reading heaps of text on screen. If you’re looking for a Walkman get something with varispeed, that’s the most fun, this one I have also has a microphone on the front which is a bonus. Thanks for watching!

  • @neilbriscombe3624

    Helpful video with great sounding examples. But for the last segment, are you only using the matrise because the volume pot has broken on the cassette player? Is the any need for it at all?

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  3 года назад +4

      Twisting a knob has way better tactile control, as in smoother sweeping than trying to roll the volume wheel on the cassette player… also, why not?

    Does this have any advantages over the signal blender by OBNE ? I’m thinking 2 signal blenders would have 6 channels for $260 vs
    The Matrise with 4 channels for $300 - unless I’m missing something

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  3 года назад +2

      The signal blender doesn’t bleed the channels into each other, only mixes them to the output. I have a few different types of these devices including the OBNE SB and I find the Matrise is capable of making sounds none of the others can.

    well, this one made me fell for it. i´ve been waiting to get a klein bottle but this convinced me to buy it. do you plug it to the amp loop or just in - effects - amp? looks very hard to get at first but sounds beatiful. a scheme on connections would be very useful since pladask instructions are very simple and tight.

    • @ponderersounds3172
      @ponderersounds3172  4 года назад

      The thing is you can plug anything anywhere. You could connect your amp input and fx loop to its and then have 2 loops of effects that could be blended in or out of the fx loop or in front of the amp

    For the part of the video involving the art van delay and the SLO reverb, are you just going straight from your tele to the pedals into a cab Zeus? (aka are you using any kind of preamp and or Mik'ed amp in the signal chain?) Thanks in advance :) Loved the video!
