Sir, when I was twenty I new how to spend money now I use my creativity more , and back then I still painted and made stuff. But today I’m making bass tubes out of wire spools , fun fun imaginative folks rule
I have WAY more respect for People who do this and there is a DAMN good reason why. IT TAKES SKILL. Anyone can buy a subwoofer. Heck, you can get rolling with a full system for less then $100 bucks these days if you shop wisely. What is really great about this subwoofer is that you can place it outside and NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO IT! It is PERFECT for OUTDOOR SUBWOOFERS! The HOLIDAYS ARE HERE MAN! Lets make a GREAT Outdoor subwoofer system for less than $40 bucks! I think Robot Underground could help us out! I plan to order some speakers and see just hwo well they do so other people can duplicate it! Also MCM does have some woofers for just $12 bucks still, (8 Inch) and 12 inch subs for still $20 bucks. Might be a good start!
A 12 inch sub will sit right down in the bucket perfectly. I have one in my truck right now with a 1200 watt amp and it’s damn near busts my windows out
To me I do "all that other crap" because I want it to look good. But more importantly I need it to sound good. The sound quality to me is the most important thing. And I'm willing to bet that, that Memphis Audio sub isn't in the proper size sealed enclosure. I know good subwoofers have a size range that they will sound good in. But to my eyes it looks a bit small to me. I do like your creative thought. If you want to get better at this stuff. You need to educate yourself on the many ways to cut a "TRUE" circle. A circular saw would be my absolute last choice to use. I use a 2 step process that is real easy to do. I use a trammel arm on my router. Cut the outter circle first. Make an adjustment then cut the inner circle. Now you'll have a true ring for mounting subwoofers. Try it out & I hope that you gain more skills.
