I just love this plot, and there's a lot of people reacting to the series and missing the point of it. From my perspective, I think the reaction to the hickey is not about nick and charlie being intimate, is about charlie being bullied all over again, this time for "living his sexuality" like older people forget that some people not just bully the late bloomer or the gay, they also bully "the slut"...
He didn’t know about Nick and Charlie dating at that point in the novel, which is prolly why he believed the shower excuse and didn’t react much. I love Tao but he can be a little naive lmao 😂

Love it. And I love Tao's reaction to it in the show. Will has gotten so good. That look he gives Nick is gold.
Tao gained a lot more depth in season 2, I feel we got to know him a lot better. The "Tao in the door" scene is my favourite Tao scene!

He really does, both in season 1 and 2 😁 Luckily, he doesn't rinse (that created a lot of fuzz after season 2)!

Yeah exactly, everyone thinks this is fully about him being gay again when it’s mostly about intimacy and the reaction to that from society

That face is unforgettable! During filming, I like to believe they did that scene multiple times due to constantly collapsing into hilarity!

It looks like the series greatly enlarged the role of Tao. In my opinion, that was a mistake.
Hard disagree. Tao was kinda boring in the comics. Giving him and Charlie’s friend group more screentime was a blessing.
