    Grinderino if you don't care about weight. Very durable frame. I'm putting Ummagawd Aerolite 2004s on mine for 6s power.

      Favorite 3.5" by far! I like it better with the extra weight.

      @@JacobBaron I'm building mine now. The weight gives it the 5" feel.

      You can get a grinderino sub250 just fine (if that's what you meant)

      @@game-of-the-monthclub3346 I am planning a 6s build for my Grinderino. But a 4s setup can easily be sub250g.

      Those motors are beautiful!!! Also if it is not too late check out the Hyperlite 2005.5's or a real gem of a motor - the RCInpower 2005's or if you want crazy power the 2105's or even the 2107's.
      RCInpower has motors look similar in colors/style to the Ummagawd motors. I also like the Ummagawd motors, just have not had a set. I wish they were just a tad bigger. My 2004 motors are great on a 4" but the 2005.5's are just a bit more powerful yet still very smooth.
      I have also been thinking of checking out some of the XNova motors... supposedly top shelf motors. So many good choices for sure.
      For what it is worth I got mine from Pyrodrone, but RDQ is also great. I also recently bought from Wrekd FPV with good results. I think there are a lot of reputable US vendors nowadays, these are the ones I have experience with.

    I had CNC madness cut me some 3.5" arms for my old AirbladeUAV Intrepid V2, combined with 1507s, it's a really good little quad.

    I have 7-8 apex 4" . Never felt successful with the 3" version . Also have babyhawk2 3.5 1404 3800kv and the vx3.5 . I prefer the babyhawk. The apex4 is just way more versatile as I can fit lipos and freestyle bash it or fit 21700 liions and chase bikes/cars etc 140km/h and for 15 odd mins .

      I as well like the babyhawk2. Put 1404 4500kv on the little sucker & it rips.

    I’ve got the Volador vx3.5, Supafly Flipmini 3.5 and an Amax 3.5 Micro. I really like the Volador VX3.5, it’s a solid frame and affordable. I’ve heard good things about the Grinderino frame and everyone here seems to swear about it, however it’s like £42 in the uk compared to £25 for the Volador frame. Yeah it might be durable but I can practically get two Volador frames for the price of one Grinderino.

    I run 1408 4150kv nbd motors on a grinderino frame on 4s and it rips. Around 280g auw and you can barely feel it being that heavy. Nothing beats it in durability too, i’ve had 15 plus crashes on concrete/asphalt and it’s still straight as an arrow

      Amax 3.5 Micro you means. They only make a 3.5 Micro and Nano. I’ve got the Micro, the Nano has a one piece arm. The Micro isn’t very durable and I’ve snapped the frame when I’ve hit a rugby crossbar a few times. It does go like the clappers with the Xing 1504 motors. I did ask Amax to make a 3.5 Deadcat about a year ago but nothing, which is annoying as they’ve got a 3 and 4 inch Deadcat. I could always buy the 3 inch and just get cncmadness to make me some 3.5s

    siren f35 & rcinpower 1804 for extremely fast builds 6s and t-motor 1604 for sub250 6s. I really like the rcinpower 1804, it is just super good and really silent. I would not get the siren f3, just get the f35.

      Wanted to write the same.
      SF3 is nice, but SF35 is better
      With 1604 I have a hard time to stay under 250g with DJI O3.
      I use 1404 3800kv on 4s with Tattu R line 650mAh and O3 naked Air unit, camera not naked because it's to fragile
      With ViFly Mini beacon it's sub 250g
      Love that thing

    Hi JB, about the 1804 motor sizing, if my 3.5 build is noise sensitive, given all else the same, what would generate more noise when applying throttle to achieve the same force input on the drone? 1804 motor 3600kv
    1404 motor 4600kv
    1404 motor 3600kv

    Depending on the VTX, 1804 motors can be too heavy for

    • @Bruno-cb5gk
      @Bruno-cb5gk 7 месяцев назад

      T Motor 1804s are strangely heavy, RCInPower 1804s are way lighter. The AOS is a good design but also kinda overweight for 3.5" imo. Still, to fit 1804s under 250g with a decent battery it does take some careful building.

    • @philihc
      @philihc 7 месяцев назад

      Yeah the AOS is a bit to heavy. Even with naked O3 it's harder to get under 250g.
      It flies really good. But I decided to stay with my Quadmula SF35, which isn't also really light, cause of split deck design.
      As I will never again fix without a ViFly beacon, cause I lost to much hours of my life searching my quad, after battery eject, it's a bit harder to stay under 250g

  • @kennykobitsfpv
    @kennykobitsfpv 7 месяцев назад +2

    I disagree, I put the 1804 2400 on the grinderino and struggled with anything bigger then a 550 mah battery. 1507 2205 with a 3.6 in prop on the grinderino is beautiful. Carry's a 1100 mah and dji action 2. But the axis c224 and that size really gives you umph. But ive seen people succeed with 1804 2400 just way lighter pay load.

    • @kennykobitsfpv
      @kennykobitsfpv 7 месяцев назад

      1507 2700 or c224 with 3.6 in prop man. 1605 and 1804 are great with 650mah or less battery. I like swapping my 5in batterys onto my 3.6 in grinderino.

    Quadmula F35 + RCinpower 1507s or some 2004s if overheating is a problem because of the tall stator. This should then be a 6s build too.
