Note: regarding ‘free will’. Allah ‘created’ good and bad for a wisdom, but He does not create ‘evil’, such as poison and pain, but they have benefit in other ways. It is our free will to use them towards good or cause evil. The free will here is that we have a choice to use what Allah created good and bad in a way that is good or in a way that is evil. Therefore, it does not contradict the meaning of God creating good and bad and people having free will.

I’m a Muslim woman who is nearly 50 yrs old, unmarried, I have a lot of problems that seem to be permanent because I have had them for decades but I have accepted them and have learned to live with them. Alhamdulilah, the one thing I had was a job, I know it is a test but I haven’t been able to find one now for nearly 9yrs and it’s starting to take its toll. The good thing is I have properly repented and become a better Muslim, I was the happiest I have been in my life, strange kind of happiness which I can’t really explain, however, in the 9yrs I have been unemployed 5 of them I have spent, depressed and suicidal. Four years after being unemployed I woke up with depression, I don’t know where it came from. I know I am not supposed to lose hope but I’m afraid I have, worse I feel like my repentance was rejected, anyway I don’t want to bore you with more details, but it is hard to keep going. Thanking you in advance for your reply.
Dear Sister, please don't feel that your repentance is rejected, because Allah is Arrahmaan Arrahiim Ya Ghafur (the most Forgiving). I may not be in your position, but I know it must not be easy and it's ok to feel that way. Take step by step..as long as you're making a progress in improving your life, improving your understanding of Islam, being more sabr and ikhlas...insya Allah, all will be accounted for. It's not for nothing. May Allah make it easy for you. Hold on strong to Allah SWT, keep reciting Al Fatihah to guide you. I wish for all the peace in your heart. 🤗 Pls allow me to share my current fave du'a that I recite when I feel it's getting all too much. My dear sister in Islam, do not give up hope in Allahs mercy. I know you might think it’s easy for others to say this but I went through a similar situation where I lost my job and loss a large part of my investments right after that and felt that nothing would change. Everything I tried to improve my material situation just kept getting worse. I went through that same deep depression, couldn’t understand why Allah would put me through it and assumed Allah must hate me for some reason, and only kept living for my kids and didn’t want to hurt my mother more if I followed through on my deep depression and suicidal thoughts. So I know where you are coming from. Inshallah things will change. Just focus on the day you are in. Don’t let tomorrow’s thoughts worry you. Don’t ever think bad about Allah, that is my biggest regret doing my deep depression when everything would go against me day after day during my dark days. Repeat the dua mentioned above and the other dua I would repeat all day long is Hazrat Younis’ dua Laillahah illa inni kuntu minazalameen. And Hazrat Musa’s dua - rabbi inni lema anzalta Alayna min khairan fakeer. Reach out to others for help if you need. I genuinely pray Allah rewards you for your sabr soon.
May Allah Ta’ala grant all the Palestinians munificent blessings and rewards of exquisite palaces and lofty ranks in Jannah, for facing their present tremendous sufferings and hardships with perseverance and steadfastness in their faith, Ameen

I wish in the future if u could relate this important topic of Qadhaa & Qadr with the increased rate of divorce amongst the Muslims (wives asking for divorce & destroying her life & kids and family.).
