Rippetoe has commented in a couple of the podcasts that back extensions don't help like they thought they did when the books were written and that they end up seeing low back injuries from "wiggling the back around". It's the same reason they don't recommend sit ups or reverse hypers. Flexing the low back, especially loaded, results in unnecessary fatigue that results in injuries.

Question? The app dosent have back extensions in the program, but the book practical programming has it why was it left out
