I have so enjoyed your lace angels. I was inspired to use my vintage lace from hubbies grandma to make my own. I’ve made 15 so far. I have a few more ready to make. Thank you so much for your tutorial’s.

The most fun is rummaging thru our stash, but then I find myself hoarding my treasures. I always enjoy watching your videos Laura. Keep inspiring us. Berta
I agree Roberta! Rummaging is fun and why do we have these treasures unless it’s to use them in a meaningful way?
Of course I don’t collect anything that ought to be in a museum! XO

Thank you Christine! I would start with an Angel, of course! Once you have the basics there are many many options and variations!
Beautiful angels
Thank you Darlene!
lovely
Thank you Theresa!
Do you hand wash the pieces before you use them?
Hi Linda! Sometimes I wash vintage lace, but first I check by smelling. Often I can tell that it is fresh and clean.
If it doesn’t smell fresh or looks dirty or stained, I use a plastic dishpan and some warm water and gentle soap. I swish the lace, squeeze out the soap, repeat several times, rinse with clear water and lay flat on a towel to dry.
I inherited a bunch of handkerchiefs and wanted to make angles, have you made any of these?
'
Yes, I have a handkerchief Angel tutorial- it’s one of my favorite designs! XO
FYI the piano music is very distracting. It over powers your voice and I would rather hear what you are saying.
Hi Sharry! Honestly the only time I use background music is when I am doing something repetitive (such as gathering lace or wrapping yarn) and I speed up the playback. I am definitely not talking during these parts. Also the volume is set to 10%. I’m sorry that you find it distracting. I prefer a cheerful tune to silence. Thank you for watching my tutorial and thank you for your kind and thoughtful comment. XO
Beautiful!
Thank you Naomi!
