I love watching your tutorials, I have been looking for a tutorial that showed an easy process of doing the hair and especially the faces for the angels. Thank you so much for making these tutorials.❤❤❤
I love Angels! I collect them and I make them. I love the last one. They are all three Beautiful! thank you for sharing. I hope you make many, many more!
Love your angels! I have watched three of your videos on angels and am so impressed at your details. I really like the techniques you show in creating the two hairstyles. I am so glad I found your channel!
I made a rag doll for my neice but didnt have anything for hair. The dress had lavendar trim. I made the hair like you did the last angel but used tshirt strips. I put on the wig part but cut ends open then did a similar piece for a bang. Then stretched all the little strips to look kind of like raggedy ringlets! I may try that on a tinier scale for angels. I love all yours! Will see how you did the bead face.
I am starting a tote of "RickRackRuby" items I am collecting to make many of your adorable creations! If I have them all together, I think it will be easier for me to find. I am currently making 5 of these Heirloom Angels for keepsakes for my adult kids and myself. They are made with cut pillowcases with about 4 inch hand crocheted lace from a member of my family made for her marriage in early 1900's. That way we all have a piece of history. I also took scraps I still had of lace and fabric when my momma made my wedding dress for my daughter's one. My husband is really impressed with how they turned out. I am currently in the process of choosing wings. I think I'll make a few Santa's or gnomes with vintage lace for the guys.
Was looking for something else but came across this. I made hankie angels last few years because Ive collected so many of them. But sewing over 50 years yes, I have tons of everything! Lace buttons, beads, tulle. I dont buy fabric. Mostly always upcycled thrift clothing. I look for sewing notions at thrift too. I like how you used the bead head to secure everything.
Loved your tutorial! Thank you so much for helping me learn. I have several scraps of lace and I just hope I can do these as good as you. They'll look wonderful on our tree.
Love all these. I ordered some wooden natural beads for the heads and the mohair for hair, and when I get them in, I will try my hand at making these. Thanks for all your videos!!
ruclips.net/video/myKHCfh9WLA/видео.htmlsi=MvnOiX6kupUrDgjV Hi Sharon! For these I used my die-cutting machine. Check out my “Focus on Wings” video for detailed instructions. Thank you for watching my video!
Hi Dawn. The wings are made from a scalloped circle about 4.5-inches across. Please check out my “Focus on Wings” video. If you don’t have a die cutting machine, you can just trace a cd and trim the edge with scalloping shears. Thank you for watching my video.
Gemini Electric Die Cutting & Embossing Machine With Pause and Rewind - Great For Scrapbooking, Card Making And Crafting - Includes Die Set - Large (9 x 12.5 inches), White a.co/d/gggZvtT Hi Maria! I use this electric cutter, but I started with a less-expensive hand-crank machine. It’s fun!
I'm just confused on the first one about the tulle....i know it's 6 inches wide but how long a piece did you use? Or did you just split the 6 inches in half? Maybe I should watch again and again. I have to make them. They are simply gorgeous and something I will give as gifts since i don't have a lot of cash this Christmas season. Thank you so much for your teaching. You are wonderful. I'm sorry i dont catch on quickly. I do know how to sew and many other crafts but I think maybe paying attention is lacking here. Lol
Hi Marlene. I’m very sorry that I wasn’t more clear. Here you go: Use the entire 6-inch width. Estimate the length of your angel’s dress. (Say, five inches…) Double that number and add two inches. (So, twelve inches…) Cut TWO pieces of tulle - each twelve inches long. Stack one on top of the other and treat this as a single piece. Fold in half and tie off in the center with narrow ribbon. I hope this helps. Thank you for asking. XO
These are absolutely adorable! You have inspired me on repurposing some of the lace I inherited from women of my family. What did you use for wings ? Is that paper or fabric you starched ?
Kimberly Holland Great idea! I’m new to RUclips and figuring things out as I go. Moving forward, I will include a supply list for each tutorial. I will also go back to edit this one ASAP. Thank you for watching my video.
@@rickrackruby3500 Hi again! Could you add the materials list to this reply. I'm hoping to shop for my materials today. The tree is up and awaiting Angels!!! : D Thank you!
Hi,Happy New Year ! Do you know what size the hole is on the head? As I tried to pull through the hole in the head but it would not pull all the way up.
Hi Joni! The hole in the 25mm bead is 6mm and the hole in the 20mm is 4mm. Perhaps your tulle is more dense than mine. That’s all I can think of. Try just ONE length of tulle rather than two and see if that helps. Please let me know. XO

Kimberly Holland The paper is Tim Holtz Idea-ology Worn Wallpaper.
so pretty, maybe if I keep watching I'll make some😉. Where do you get the stuff for the hair? is it yarn?
Darlene Nelson Hi Darlene! Yes, it’s yarn. Any thin yarn will work. You can make this!!!
I found this yarn on Etsy. I just did a search for “natural loopy mohair.”
