Hello, I am new to Pond. Built a new pond last week, filled with UK tap water in and brought in Gold dishes about 15” approx. Have about 20 of them and most of them have swim bladder disease. Pond has filtration system and water feature in so the water keeps rolling. Temp in uk is winter set to be 10 degree at the moment. I have added aquarium prescription to the pond for Chlorine level and also for some Bacterial growth required. Can I buy salt and add them in to the pond now just like that? If so what type of salt do I buy?

Now my biggest imported koi is on its side and im freaking out. I have now salted the pond and did another partial water change. They are not eating much if anything. I trust your experience. Doing the 5 steps and that aint no country dance either.

I'm fine thanks Dexter I'm self isolating because I suffer from asthma but I've got very good neighbours who are going shopping for me so I don't need to go out and put myself in danger from coronavirus I'm so blessed to have them and they tell me I've done bits over the years for them but I don't think I've done that much xx

I have one sick Koi. I’ve had them in my pond for 2 years in New York. One of them is swimming on its side, and keeps going to corners of the pond. I’m not sure how to help him? I’ve done all the steps, but one keeps going to the corner.
Sir Dexter I have a 2 yr old koi and she has a few diffent colored scale a gold colred scale. One day i saw that one of its gold scales are missing back the shes just 6 months old and until now its still not growing back, do you know what is the problem with my koi? Its just 1 scale lost that never grow back.

isnt fidel brand salt iodized ? i keep hearing na hindi daw pwedi gamitin iodize for fish use. kaya i keep on looking sa mercado for rock salt. Kung ok pala yun lang gamitin ko. nasa grocery ra

What was the name of this disease? I know you said it but I misunderstood. I have this exact problem but I am not getting god results with the salt and water changes. I have been using malafix too but nothing is working.

I think all the walls of the pond should be made of glass so that it is easy to clean off all the dirty slimy junk which cause sickness to the koi as well

why you use iodized salt?? I think its not good for fish.... batter to use raw salt for good result
sir did you use methaline blue when your koi is sick? lots of experience koi keeper, use the methaline blue as treatment. please enlighten thank you!
