Ostranauts is a Space Sim from Blue Bottle Games where you manage your ship and salvage others for parts or profits. The game is much deeper than its packaging might suggest, with complex interactions between systems. I like to consider it a puzzle game, because a lot of planning goes into the best way to expand your ship for your needs.

My crew mate is a bartender, she has worked out well.
Once you get that reactor up and running the tow brace power needs won't matter anymore 👍🏻
Also: cargo pods are only really useful for transporting goods to other planets and unfortunately it doesn't seem the goods get restocked so you can only trade them once and then that's that but you can make a lot of money, but I agree with you flipping ships is fun ✌🏻

You could do a tutorial on the meat story line for people on top of the ones you mentioned
