You guys are really capitalizing on this year's Oscar's drama, huh? 😂😂 Striking while the iron is hot, eh?
Mariah was one a disaster news channel I watch in New York times. Talk about drama queen. WatchMojo can you please do top 10 or 20 anime main characters team up with lesser/worst panters?
Banning Will for 10 years for the slap is way too harsh. Can the Oscars and the Academy Awards have ever gone too far? He is very committed to his performances.
Will Smith slap Chris Rock at the Oscars should've been number one
Does this mean everyone hates will smith now?
R Kelly having a meltdown during the Gayle King interview should’ve gotten an honorable mention.
Dude seriously. Shoulda been top 5 tbh lol
Or it could have been a dishonorable mention 🤣☠️ fr
They had to forget or neglect to include, there's no way this doesn't make this list.
They set him up
That wasn't live tv though. It was pre-recorded
The only reason I watch movies with Cage, is because Cage! How can you not love the energy he puts into every role! I feel the same way about Hopper!
That's why I really want to see that movie in the next few weeks lol. Nicolas Cage being Nick Cage lol
I saw him for the first time in Next. He wasn't playing Nick Cage at all.
Mandy is a banger.
Lies again? Los Angeles No God
I loved it when Judge Faith said "You've got to get yourself someone who loves you as much as Kanye loves Kanye" I lost it.
The Jim Everett one ,the host Had it coming.
He told him to stop so he deserved it
Yeah. It was a dick move done deliberately to provoke the guest for ratings. It was contrived edginess.
What Everett doesn't realize is, he helped Rome's career by being so thin skinned and losing it
Yeah... Jim Rome was pushing it and Jim Everett kept telling him to chill out but Jim Rome kept pushing his luck and got rewarded with an ass kicking 😂😂
Only problem Everett had was not stomping his head in like he easily could have, and should have.
I remember when we thought Kanye's Taylor interruption would be the craziest thing we'd see on an award show
Sooo true. 😅
Yay formerly known as kanye west
lol if only. TayTay kept composed, and rolled her eyes...then probably turned into a 4x double diamond platinum rant about how much Kanye West is a douchedbag.
In comparison it was so harmless.
That was soo disrespectful to Taylor Swift and it's those actions he does that make me not care for him
You have to hand it to Chris Rick he is a true pro with how he maintained his composure throughout.
How many people get to smack Willy for not liking the swear words that came out of his mouff? Fair is fair.
@@MsBarryP are you nine?
Let that been the rock or mike Epps,
Can't believe ppl think that wasn't planned. Crazy
Smith DID 'hand' it to Chris Rock..! :D
Tom jumped on Oprah's couch. It was sweet. No one was harmed.
Except for the couch
Thx eddy, for confirming no one was hsrmed
He might have been hurt being that crunked up on national television
@@squidjames7735 I didn't say no one was "hsrmed"....lol.
He was happy to be in love. .it wasn't even about the film
Crispin wasn't a meltdown, it was just being in character for publicity. Letterman knew this.
Letterman's a douche anyway lol 😆
He just got nervous during the interview, that's all that was. Seems like the rehearsed interview did not go as planned, so Letterman just sat back, kept quiet and just let Crispin go anywhere. It seems like Crispin had stage fright.
@Alwaysemployed: Crispin didn't have stage fright he's an actor lol. He's odd and quirky snd Letterman didn't expect it so he ran off like a chode...
@@MKF30 Many actors expressed having stage fright in a live environment during the early parts of their careers, even Samuel L Jackson said he had severe stage fright when he started acting. Michael Caine said he had stage fright. Stage fright is something actors learn to overcome as they get more experience. Will Forte acted very strange and very odd during live sketches when he was an SNL cast member. It was many years later Jason Sudeikis revealed during an interview that the reason why Forte seemed strange on live TV was because he had extreme panic attacks from stage fright.
@@alwaysemployed656 Sure but just saying it doesn't necessarily apply to all actors and in Glover's case he's always been different. But regardless if this was staged or not, Letterman still acted poorly here. Leno would have never done that.
No. Nick Cage did not "lose it" on stage. You have to have "it" in order to "lose it". We all know he is Nick Cage 24/7 all day everyday.
😂😂 I can't argue with that
He was in the early stages of suffering from the unbearable weight of massive talent. That's all.
His new film will be interesting.
Yeah, he was just playing his role.
if anything the mainstream enters at its own peril when going in the nic cage zone
It is amazing how that moment allowed Watchmojo make several top 10.
Kanye West - "George Bush doesn't care about black people."
Of course you could probably do a whole list on Kanye antics by himself.
he wasn’t lying
@@dawudmuhammad7104 he sure wasn’t
@@dawudmuhammad7104 😂😂😂😂
That's the realest shit he ever said
Watch Mojo just gonna milk the “Will Smith” cow for awhile 🤣😂
pretty much
Cringe
Oh yeah its how they roll
Pretty sure everyone is going to milk the Will Smith slap for a while.
Does this mean Dakota Johnson on Ellen finally gets to rest?
Joan Rivers never walked out of an interview in 50 years. But I think someone in their 80s has less patience for boring and repetitive questions
Nickolas Cage was going through his weird "I love Elvis and when I marry his daughter Lisa Marie, I will be one step closer to becoming Elvis" phase.
Let me say it this way...Will...will NEVER live it down... "The Slap Heard Around The World" is still being heard!
WatchMojo has made so many new video topics solely to talk about the slap over and over again
It was so loud WALL-E shat a lug nut.
And on a night that could have been about his first Oscar win.
@@easterbunnybrandon1796 🤣🤣🤣
Got that right
Even though it may be skewed by being the most recent, I have to say the Will Smith slap is by far #1. In seconds he severely tarnished a stellar reputation and tons of goodwill built up over decades, over a fairly innocuous joke that he initially laughed at, on perhaps the biggest stage at an event where decorum and civility is expected. At least Tom's behavior, though odd, was about something positive. There wasn't a discussion with cops over whether he should be arrested and charged with a crime after jumping on a couch.
True and good points, but I think they were looking at long-term live TV reactions. Kanye and Tom's outbursts followed a series of more unhinged live TV events, interviews and premieres when people were questioning their mental health. Will only has the The Slap and maybe the Red Table Talk interview he did with Jada. The other two have at 5 or more memorable meltdowns after their first initial one. Mojo will probably update this list if Will does a crazy interview or live TV rant or something..I heard he's going back on the Red Table talk soon to talk with Jada about the Slap. Lol let's see if anything comes from that ha
You forgot to add that the joke would have been forgotten a minute later but now it lives on in infamy.
I agree, Tom Cruise was already sus by that time
@@yenh1144 kanye almost let his "extra behavior" slip when he got punked by Ashton, back in the day.
Nah, I think Will Smith only seems like #1 because it's new. Out of these, that Jim Everett clip should be #1. He didn't just slap a guy, he flipped a table and pinned the host to the ground. The backstage crew had to pull him off. That's a lot more than what Will did.
I'm surprised Hulk Hogan choking Richard Belzer unconscious isn't on here. I honestly think that was an accident and not a true FREAK OUT, but it deserves honorable mention.
I don't agree with #1. Dude was just happy, how is he "Losing" it. Stop it.
I kind of agree with you, but then i remember that Tom is a crazy scientologist.
If it wasn't made into a meme and got traction online it probably would not have even registered with me as something particularly memorable. While some of the others were way out of line and borderline insane.
Totally agree, He was truly happy about his relationship with Katie Holmes at the time. So much so that he became a whole different person after their breakup. As a matter of fact, I. thoroughly enjoyed seeing him so happy and as a result, watched that segment a few times.
The main reason maybe because he wasn't expected to behave like that, unlike others.
Its possible to be happy while "losing composure not usually seen by the individual".... so yeah he fucking lost his shit on that interview. As he did on the matt later but fir the opposite on the scale.
How could you possibly leave out 1 of the biggest, ANGRIEST on TV meltdowns? Bill O'Reilly's yelling tyrade: "LIVE!! LIVE! WE'LL DO IT LIVE!" Was the funniest one for me, & way more crazier & notable than Crispin Glover's bit.
When even the President of the United States calls Kanye West a jackass, then you know it's really bad.
Reading the comments here and just wanted to say what an ‘almost’ great name you have from me… (maiden name) Marie Lemon 🤪X
One jackass to another jackass
Bruh Tom Cruise’s one was harmless af
I guess his actions was unexpected and many thought he's drunk.
How the hell is that worst than Big Willy’s melt down
Until he breaks both of Oprah’s wrists 😜
They should have used Cruise’s interview with Matt Lauer, if they were going to use a Cruise moment at all. He didn’t have the same manic energy in the Today Show interview, but he did come across like a mean, judgmental bully. He argued with the interviewer before insulting him, all the while rudely judging how someone else handles their mental health. I found that interview very hard to watch.
Tom’s one looks fun lol
nick cage is a national treasure
I don't think any other would compare in a Face Off against him
The hardest part of life is Knowing any tragedy could happen and he could be Gone in 60 Seconds.
"valley Girl" most underrated cage film of all time.
Good one
Yeah, how is it possible to not notice these Snake Eyes and The Unbearable Weight of [this] Massive Talent ?
All I can say is that Chris Rock handle the situation like a pro.
Yep...
He's (Actually) lucky. Try that kind of lazy 'humor' on one of those other rappers... Probably wouldn't have made it home that night...
Cage must have been channeling his friend, Johnny Ramone... never understood why Tom Cruise jumping on that couch was such a big deal... he was happy... so?
I don't see anything odd with Tom Cruz. People say he was acting the part. He seemed genuinely happy to me.
That Chris Rock-Will Smith incident is still the trending topic. I should have known that way. The Kanye West incident at the VMAs, or Charlie Sheen saying that "winning".
Sheen winning he got HIV as a prize.
Sinead O'Connor tearing up the Pope' s photo on SNL should've been #1
Why? It was really childish and pathetic
Love this channel keep up the good content love you guys
Aahhhh.
I love this list!
All my favorite meltdowns in one video!
Tom Cruise was just in the moment from the crowd and Oprah and was very much head over heels for Katy Holmes.
I still can't believe that Chris Rock kept his cool at the Oscars instead of reacting normally and retaliated against the slapping.
Chris restraint was the perfect example of professionalism..He could’ve fought back, but he quickly realized that it would’ve made matters worse.. I guess who’s winning right now..
I think he was shocked and scared to react as it was in public
It was staged.
Practiced and staged.
Why can’t you believe it? Chris Rock is a little guy. Will Smith is at the very least twice his size and in excellent shape. He works out. Chris Rock wouldn’t stand a chance against Will Smith in a fistfight.
@@edreid7872 he was also thinking about all the money he had on the line and how he would ruin everything if he would’ve retaliated. This is The main reason for his restraint. It’s all about money. Don’t fool yourself into believing anything else.
Got twist turned upside down🤣🤣🤣 i see what u did, that was a good one.
I remember watching the Crispin Glover Letterman moment; my brother had gotten up to go to the bathroom and so missed the best thing on TV ever.
I’m sensing a pattern here as to how many times the Fresh Prince at the Oscars thing is on these lists. It reminds me of me telling the same…annoying thing every day. And as my parents told me after they couldn’t take it anymore: “give it a rest!”
For real Anything to use that thumbnail …. Lame
Fucking thank you. I'm so tired of people running this story into the ground. Especially when there's celebrities who have done far worse but nobody cares cuz they didn't see it personally. Out of sight out of mind performative outrage.
💯
@@onionbubs386 To be fair it was a pretty big deal for a Hollywood A lister to physically assault somebody in front of the world on live television. This has never happened and may never happen ever again.
Like seriously it's becoming cartoonish at this point
Nick Cage running out doing a flip is one of the reasons why he's freakin Nick Cage and why we dig him
Sooooo many drugs
Really though. He's the OG. When people do stuff like this now, it's just them trying to be more like Nick Cage.

Tom's came from a good place. He meant no harm and was living I'm the moment.
F that scientologist slimeball
I remember watching the Crispin Glover thing when it originally aired, back when I was in high school. It was all my friends and I could talk about the next day.
Wasn't he not considered to play Marty McFly because he wanted to add character and pissed everyone off.
I like Glover as an actor, even if he didn't get that role.
@@danidesip2432 No.
Maybe a hot take, but back then the Tom Cruise thing wasn't what
people make it out to be today. He was happy and excited and it was more like, "That dude's in love", he wasn't "losing it."
I don’t know about that. I remember people making a big deal about how crazy and manic he came across. The public seemed perplexed by it and assumed he was insane
Dang Will you done made it to Kanye and Tom Cruise meltdowns status.
He can only get richer from the whole meltdown
Crispin Glover was in character for the movie he was promoting. At least that is what I believe.
Chris Rock deserves academy award for his calm and composed stature
Chris rock is a joke. He will never get an oscar because he will never earn one
He is the man, dignity.
What about the Joker on The Murray Franklin Show? 😂
Thanks for showing the complete clip of Jim Everett and Jim Rome. Over the years that has been show edited making it look like JE just went after Rome almost unprovoked.
Nicolas Cage was lit when he did that interview. Lit!
Yeah he was 😂 still kept it together better than charlie sheen. He's had to been on some good ass drugs to do that interview talking about tiger blood lol 🤣
@@cherylsefton415 And “winning”. What does that even mean. Don’t even get my started with the sex addiction stuff (I have a girl friend who was an actual sex addict and almost went completely crazy when she “quit”). Mariah Carey doesn’t belong on this list, but Courtney Love sure does.
City of Angels is still one of my all time favorite movies of all time up there w Eternal Sunshine and Remains of the Day Anthony Hopkins and Jim Carrey and Nick Cage are all crazy but that makes for amazing films
A little punctuation goes a long way
I loved and understood the couch jump as a teenager and it's even better as a 30something.
Nice videos
I remember that clip with Jim Everett from eBaumsworld
I disagree whole heartedly with the Nick cage one. From everything I’ve seen online…. That was just Nick being himself.
Christian Glover's incident wasn't inexplicable. It was something he planned to promote the movie he was in at the time. Plenty of interviews on the internet where he talks about it
Clearly in character, but Dave either didn’t get it, or just wasn’t in the mood to play along that night
Sorry but that line in Gorgeous was genius and funny as heck - the whole song is sheer heaven lol
Tom Selleck on The Rosie O'Donnell Show was classic. They argued about gun laws. Also Andy Kaufman on Letterman with Lawler the wrestler was pretty shocking!!
Tom Cruise and Nick Cage were hilarious!!!
Will Smith was such a disappointment...
R. Kelly went crazy on that Gail king interview lol

His Matt Lauer interview beat Oprah's.
@@AdakStillStands I agree
Embarrassing
Tom Cruise said "F**k yo couch!!" 🤣

What I realise is that celebrities are under much stress when they are coming to an interview and so some weak parts inside them get out of control, no matter what may be. Its easy to be seen in some of them.
Top 10 WatchMojo Thumbnails of the Will Smith/Chris Rock slap drama.
The podcast, You’re wrong about, has a great episode for the Tom cruise Oprah couch thing and it’s funny that he really didn’t go wild. It was a time where the internet was growing and he felt he was in a safe space to open up about a happy relationship and it all got blown up.

This will be with Will Smith for the rest of his career.
As a Will Smith fan, this moment made me feared it will effects his reputation.
Give it a year and he'll bounce back. Someone will do something insane and it'll be forgotten, just like the Hugh Grant/hooker story. Celebs have overcome worse and kept their careers. He needs to get out of this narcissistic dependant relationship and things will be alright.

Really Watchmojo? Number one was that interview on Tom Cruise?
Compared to the other nine entries on this list, Tom Cruise didn't verbally or physically abuse anyone. He didn't make the interviewer or the audience awkward. In fact they loved Tom Cruise's show of passion.
I've been regularly watching Watchmojo videos for many years and I've noticed Watchmojo has always negatively portrayed the Tom Cruise interview. I guess the people who made this list clearly haven't been REALLY in love before.
Jim Everett surely wishes his career turned out as well as Chris Evert’s.

He made a terrible joke. there I fixed it
@@blackguyofthesouth2161 The joke was awful, that's true.. But it does seem light in front of Smith's reaction
It was a joke, period. Comedians need to take risks in order to be funny. The Oscars know this. All actors, especially nominated actors sitting up front, know they are going to be bullied. If you're going to be sensitive about it, do not attend.
You cannot go and attack a comedian. If the world keeps this rout, comedy will be a thing of the past in 5 years.
@@blackguyofthesouth2161 why was smith laughing
I feel that this should have been the top 20 instead of 10. (Not in the order intended)
1) I thought Roseanne Barr singing the national anthem was horrible how it ended up with her spitting on the ground ( I know it happened before my time but I saw it a few years back),
2) Mel Gibson walked away from a reporter while the interview was still going,
3) Mike Tyson insulting a reporter,
4) Jean Claude Van Damme kicking a paparrazi's camera that was following him,
5) Will Smith slapping a man who ran to him to quickly kiss him
6) Justin Bieber confronts the audience that are not listening to his advices he wants his fans to listen to.
7) Kanye West goes to TMZ studios and confronts them about how their reports affecting him and his in-laws (at the time).
8) Whoopi Golberg responds to Jeanine Pirro after being disrespected.
9) Donald Trump calling CNN fake news
10) Shia LaBeouf lashing out at policeman during protest.
I don’t know if I would call all of these entries “live”. For the Tom Cruise one, I don’t remember if that specific episode was live, but the Oprah Show was a syndicated show. Episodes would get filmed days, maybe weeks, in advanced before broadcast.
