- Covering the BEST MODS in Baldur's Gate 3 MOD MANAGER (PC + CONSOLE) After testing hundreds of different mods, I wanted to touch on what I think are the best mods to add into your Baldur's gate 3 play through.
There are a lot of really well balanced mods. And that's why I want to cover in this video as some of them are overpowered, like the cheaters ring. But that's exactly what you're getting when you get something with that name. There are a lot of really cool mods in this game, so I just want to highlight some of them as I have 200 mods installed. Let me know your favorites!

Putting the game in turn based mode is exactly what I needed to know to use the armor chest, thank you!
Otherwise it can crash your game! Take the items out and they're permanent!

@@JasonDunna Also you can only equip on item per character in turn based mode that why they were not transferring Jay.
I never used turn base mode. I just quickly added all to my inventory when I opened the chest 😂
Can you not just select “take all”? Or is it too many items and it causes the game to crash or something?
Also can you then sell the excess items or do they have 0 value?
Love cheaters ring! Using the mass fly for traversal is just so satisfying. Less chance of other party member being left behind because they somehow couldn't jump the smallest gap haha. Sad that the equipment chests aren't complete. They didn't have sickles when I wanted to use the wavemother set
Yes so true the mass fly helps a LOT especially with having all companions with you. There is a mod on PC that increases their jump distance when they get far away from you but this works even better
One caveat from the armors available from the Cheater's Ring: it doesn't have the weapons and armors from the Dead Three Chosen. So you can't get the dagger and armor form Orin, Gortash's drip and bracelet and you can't get Ketheric's Armor.
Yea true that causes quests to progress so likely why!
@@JasonDunna most likely yeah, but it's a shame. The bracers you get from Gortash are really good it's a fashion you can't get anywhere else something similar.

On PC there’s a mod to edit your companions at the magic mirror!

So how long do you think we have to wait per mod cycle on console? 2 days? At what frequency should we expect more mods to be added to console? Because daily mods clearly won't be happening on console unfortunately...
I think once they get tested it’ll start appearing more frequently
Let's say 2 per day or all 2 days 5 mods, around 50-60 mods per week, depending on mods
I used the cheaters to spawn a katana on the nautiloid, and took it off, and put it away. I just wanted the katana. It's officially the best mod for me until they get more katana mods. I'm basically using it as a "choose your style of starting weapon" mod
That cheaters ring is tempting. Maybe for an Honour mode run. I still need to do that challenge.
It makes things a lot easier if you want to do something story related on a playthrough! You can summon all armor from the start of the game too and craft your builds how you see fit
Do you still "win" the run on honour mode if you use mods?

The cheaters ring should be updated to include all weapons and all armours
Hopefully someday it will be so we can get a true Age of Stars
If I use mods that are only appearance altering for my games UI and my actual characters appearance, do I still get the achievement and dice for beating honour mode?
I’m just hoping we get transmog, honestly I’m putting off starting a console mod run until I can transmog armor to really have the full experience I’m looking for
There’s no transmog on PC yet but I hope it comes soon

Can we get a video on classes/subclasses that have post-Level 12 content. There's a reason I only have the Mystic and Remembrance Warlock Mods.
I can't speak for Sony because their mod standards have been notoriously strict, even before Microsoft bought Bethesda, but Skyrim, Fallout 4 and Starfield not only allow external assets, but assets from other games including but not limited to Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Halo, The Witcher and even Injustice 2. So I am optimistic about getting the Priest/Demon Hunter mods.
You know something really sad? A druid, at level 13, gets plane shift. Exactly what Karlach needs to escape the hells. She is out of the hells for a good bit before it becomes a legitimate problem and going back almost immediately fixed it. You just have to plane shift to Avernus, long rest, and plane shift back once every few weeks. Even bring someone else that can hide you from detection for the long rest. Even that wouldn't need to last long because a high enough level cleric gets regenerate which would fix the problem as well.

I love the cheaters ring. Playing through the game with act 3 armor and weapons is the closest thing we’ll get to ng+
And it really doesn’t break the game like you’d expect, at least on tactician and if u don’t use certain legendary items, like the duelists prerogative for example is a little too op so I stopped using it, but me using all the best act 3 monk gear and going four elements is great
I’ve been enjoying it too
Although my main drive is that I just want to look good
A note on the ring, it DOES NOT have every weapon. There's no Silver Sword, nor is there Lathandr's mace. It has damn near everything, but it's missing a small handful of things that I have noticed. Might be because I'm on console, but I don't see them there at least
No gortash gloves, blood thirst, or kethric armor either.
I saw lathanders mace and I saw voss sword yesterday!
Just in case anyone looking at this is a modder: rapid looting mod. Make a mod that, when you scan an entire area, it’ll bring up an inventory menu that you can loot from, granted there are no traps or enemies in the area so it doesn’t completely negate puzzled
Mystic is really fun just because the disciplines can be mix and matched and still have some kind of synergy

Maybe I'm stupid but is there any way to get the character screen to look like it does in your vid on console? Id love to see all of my party members at once like that while switching equipment.
Unfortunately I don’t think it’s possible unless someone makes a mod for something similar
Please make sure people know that if you download the level mod where you can go passed the level cap that when you use the mod, the game glitched and will pnly let you use the first four shape shifting animals as druid and you dont unlock the dino, elemental spawns etc. unless deleted
The unlock level curve is what it is called, and it breaks your game when playing as druid or any shape shifting class
The cheat ring is cool alot of cool mods but the one mod i really wanna see that im surprised isnt there is a super Exp or just out right level up mod to test a bunch of builds quicker. I know 2x exp but thats still too slow.
Super XP would be unreal hopefully soon

always appreciate your work Mr Dunna! Do you think a mod to have more NPCs available as companions or hirelings might be coming to console anytime in the future? Or even just mods that allow you to customize / disguise companions to look like other NPCs?
Potentially! I’m hoping for the ability to modify hirelings race and stuff so we can get Kua toa irelings
Curious: could Astralities' Tiefling Compendium be added to consoles? I'm unsure what would be considered "difficult" for console checks.
Hmmm potentially could be, I think with all the passives and feats they have it should be possible someday
Is the Monk extra subclasses for PC only?
For right now yea but hopefully someone will adapt it to mod manager

I wish there was a mod that adds more enemies into the game to balance the multiple party members mod.

Hey Jay, I'm not sure why but when I launch up BG3 it takes a long time to load. then when I finally get in and go into mod manager, it takes an extremely long time to load.
I uninstalled the whole game and reinstalled and still the same.
Hmmm on PC or console? Do you have any external mods installed?
Ive only use the cheater ring for armor in weapons most of my favorite stuff is from act 3 I've always wanted more time with the items 💙

I wouldn’t expect all- but do some or any of these modded or custom classes have unique/custom animations? Like spells or the stances/attacks for samurai?
Some have some different looking stances but only from Nexus so far have I noticed that

Sadly no mods on xbox renew my drive to play the game. Once paladin mods and armor and weapons and mods for level features past 12 make it to the game ill pick it up back

I downloaded all the subclass mods for warlock but Hexblade doesn't appear for me. On PC, I did download both celestial subclass mods, could it be that and what should I do? Also how do you know if a mod is working? For example I also got the double XP mod but don't actually know if it's working. Lol thanks in advance for any help.
The only thing I dislike about the cheaters ring is the fact that the armors box only stays open for a minute or so. Can be really frustrating if you don't know what you want to build

Just open the chest and add everything simultaneously into your inventory, thats what I did. Then I distributed them amongst my companions when I seen fit

Making the game easy doesn't appeal to me but the cheater's ring will be very good for if/when the transmog mod comes to the mod manager and console because I'll use it to get the armour I want the appearance of at the start.

Is there somewhere i can request a mod to be made? I really want a mod to make characters move faster while exploring and another mod to change playstation hotbar into the pc hotbar. You know, like divinity original sin 2 on console, our skills and actions are in a hotbar at the bottom of the screen

The create ring doesnt give all items blood of lathander, and silver sword of the Astral plane. So may not have all armours and jewelry but its an excellent start those only two ive noticed
Probably because those items are tied to story events and are key items of sort. Using the old glitch to command drop the silver sword in ch 1 would brick story parts in chapter 2 and 3. Just my guess.
@@wikkedawsome maybe but you can miss blood of lathander by ignoring creche or not knowing about passage same with if you kill Voss before act 3
But was just me more less be careful of saying it has all all items or armours in game because chances are if someone weapons missing there may be some armours missing too

It's annoying af how there's only 4 pages of mods atm for consel. When starfield released one, there were 100s to choose from on xbox rn. There's probably only 50, and mods have been out for a week. At this rate, we will get more in 2025. Every other game that has mods they are updated daily weekly this one i have been waiting for more and nothing. Guarantee by the end of October, we will only have 4 pages at this rate it's so annoying idc about different colors. I want different races classes armors exc
Reason being is Larian has to test all mods to ensure no issues to allow external assets and other things. If you want mods PC gaming is the place to be for modding

@JasonDunna The creator knew they were using custom "shaders" (whatever that is) and never submitted it to be approved for consoles, knowing it wasn't possible. But for some reason, the mod appeared listed in the first batch when they showed around 84 mods for consoles. The next week, they removed some of them. Same that happened to the FacesUnlocked. They tweak some faces to match the bodies, so it wasn't approved. This creator is making a "vanilla" version, and people have already asked them to include the odd faces anyway.

@JasonDunna The optimistic you were in all those videos was priceless. Don't let this change that now. New faces and new hairstyles are still doable if they use "shaders" from the toolset. Some console players will eventually move to PC and make mods for everyone. It happened in Skyrim and Fallout. Have a great weekend.

Thats because we don't have the mods for the other stuff yet. Once those mods are downloaded they will be in the chest

Unfortunately not but it can set all your stats to 20
@@JasonDunna it can, there is a pouch in one of the boxes, I think it's the potion box and has 20 hag hairs of each type

@@Ludzig I was definitely sure you can as I have, and just checked which pack, it's within the Cheaters Potion Box. In the chest on PS5 the first two icons are pouches called 'Bag of Hags Hair' and 'Bag of Hags Brew' (which has 20 of each of the Hags "potions" that gives negative effects)

There will be a ton more coming, they just need to go through a dull process of being approved. Give it a week or two and there’ll be like 10 pages worth, and even more later
