I am wanting to build a bobber, the information you are sharing is very helpful to me and the fab process. Thanks for sharing another informative video.
@@rev7garage just wanted to share something that I have found to be helpful in the fab process. I use flapdisc on my grinder for blending welds and smoothing cuts. On thin metal you don't get the heat like a grinding wheel. The best, longest lasting ones I have used come from Benchmark Abrasives, hope this helps.
Thanks for lnfo bro, replaced fuel filter, plugs air filter, checked grounds, still running good, stopped at Mom's, tried to start and click from starter relay ?? Had to wait 20 minutes to fire up !! Keep checking for bad grounds????
@@rev7garage if I jump the starter relay and it fires up does that mean, relays good and have a ground issue?? sorry for beaten you're ear,. This is making me crazy
Yea there’s a really good video on RUclips for testing the relay It’s definitely sounding like a wiring or equipment issue and less of a fuel/air/spark issue
Hey great videos just found them fair play 👌 Just a question for you, do you think it's possible to get a similar look keeping the rear shock? Removing the shock over here just wouldn't be an option for the roads.
You could most certainly keep the rear shock in and do the fender mod Only thing is your fender won’t sit tight to the rear wheel like I have it. There will be a larger gap caused by the suspension travel
Great videos man!!,I know this is off the beaten path, but I have a vstar 650, when cold starts right up and runs excellent run it for an hour or so, turn it off no start!! have to wait for 20 to 30 minutes and it fires right up bad ground maybe??I know you're pretty knowledgeable about these bikes!! Just wanted your input before I start looking for electrical Gremlins, thanks
Took it for a ride this morning, ran it for about an hour ,ran perfect, got home, waited 5 minutes tried to start again no dice, did not crank at all, just a click on starter relay,. Do you think that's the problem???
I would have originally said a fuel problem, likely more so carb…. But if it’s not even cranking over when the bike is hot I’d check the starter system and grounds anywhere from the start button, to the safety switch and maybe even the battery terminals The no crank hot is new to me. I’ve had a few vstars have trouble starting when there warm but they would still crank over. Most end up being bad fuel filters, clogged jets or damaged diaphragms. I have had 1 with a bad start button wire where the solder was weak and not making consistent contact. In your case it sounds electrical but I’d start with the fuel system regardless

Really appreciate that 🙏 … thats what I’m hear to do! Hope to help as many people as I can who are on a real budget!

Exactly! I’m switching to a flapper disk to finish it off so it can be paint ready
Good work 🔥😎👍🏽
Thanks man. Giving me lots of ideas now 😊
Glad I could help! Another video tomorrow I hope
Did you have to lower the bike at all or mess with the suspension in order to get less clearance between the rear fender and the tire?
Yes. This one is lowered and hardtailed

Can always check wiring. I’ve gone over wiring 2-3 times and find something new on the third look sometimes lol
What about the starter relay itself?

Is it turning over still when it’s warm? Just not starting?
Or is there no power at all when it’s warm
@@rev7garage not turning over at all when warm just a click from start er relay
