This is a new Minecraft but, 1.16 challenge, election edition. On the Dream SMP I go up against GeorgeNotFound, Dream, Quackity and jschlatt on Dream's Minecraft Server. We had lots of laughs but it was also very intense. This is a part of the Dream SMP Election and it is insane, fun and funny! POG CHAMP!
Not Minecraft, But Water Rises or Minecraft, But Lava Rises, or any other but challenge like that. This is a speed run / speed runner of Minecraft against a killer / assassin but it is against Quackity POG CHAMP!!!
The DreamSMP is a server created by the Dream Team on Minecraft. People usually just play regular survival Minecraft but I decided I wanted to create a geo-political war. Uh-oh.

A god is never going to be a main character he just sits back and joins the action when he needs to
Dream is kind of like the G-Man, He never directly interferes but he sometimes makes small moves that have significant effects. He also appears out of nowhere randomly like the G-Man.
Tubbo’s death was way funnier from techno’s POV, accidentally murdering the schlatt and quackity with splash damage and then going on a rampage was the highlight of the stream

I love this story, first Wilbur comes to create chaos, then he starts revolution, and La manburg is made, he makes it democratic with no real expectations, loses, and wants to get it back, soon he forms Pogtopia and eventually becomes the bad guy, and rigs La manburg to explode, during the festival he trys to press the button, but it mysteriously disperses however, and so he confronts Jschlatt and begins to start chaos, and it comes as Technoblade attacks every one, Wilbur flees and they regroup, wilbur realizes that no one is loyal, they just want chaos, so he brings it to Pogtopia and Tommyinnit fights Techno for killing Tubbo, and now they have a new member due to her being unsafe and could have been attacked, Jschlatt is now seeming like the bad guy, and Wilbur more of a agent of Chaos planning to destroy La manburg and possibly destroying parts of the server

Tubbo's death didn't seem so bad on Techno's stream, but seeing Wilbur's perspective makes it a lot worse. They all thought Techno wouldn't do it, so it makes sense that they felt betrayed.
To be fair, none of them did anything to help techno, they just sat there watching, while techno was trying to stall and buy as much time as he could, waiting for a sign, a message, anything. So, imo, techno did not betray them
@@ninay1100 Honestly, I feel like that was something Wilbur wanted. I don't know, Techno getting no sign of what to do and so he kills Tubbo, Tommy's best friend and right-hand man? Knowing Tommy, he would get really upset and then have beef with Techno leading to showing the whole "Your emotions get the best of you and that's why you'll never be president"? Wilbur knows Tommy enough to think about putting a stop to it and did nothing...
Now throw what I said right out the window considering Wilbur's latest stream as of writing this.
I guess in the end Techno always just does his own thing. Sure he was in on Wilbur's plan and wanted to help out their cause, but he kinda has a lone wolf vibe. He even stated that he wanted to join Wilbur and Tommy to be against everyone else. He was disappointed when half the people Manburg went behind Schlatt's back to help Wilbur and Tommy out. This could be why he decided to go through with Tubbo's killing. He could've left at anytime, but decided to stay and go through with it. He could've booked it to the water then he would be untouchable. So I'm kinda 50/50 when it comes to if Techno is more guilty or not. It did seem like he wanted to make amends, but on the dream smp we never know someone's true intentions.
It was heart wrenching to watch from Tubbo's POV
The fact that technoblade actually had to think about killing tubbo and not doing it right away is such proof that he kinda cares about them like you can’t tell me he wouldn’t have just killed immediately.
underrated moment: schlatt going after niki and saying "fuck it fuck her you can leave if you want" and as wilbur is walking through the crowd you can hear bad in the crowd going "language!" in the most disgusted tone was just such a good moment

this whole smp is fucking genius. from the beginning it has been so entertaining and i love how everyone’s character has developed. wilbur is the definition of “either you win as the hero or you liv long enough to see yourself become the villain”. wilbur has gone mad and is paranoid and has given up and just wants chaos. techno has only wanted chaos and anarchy from the beginning. tommy is trying to keep cool but sometimes he breaks and loses it. tubbo is, at the end of the day, a yes man and likes being a right hand man and is scared to take charge. i could write a whole fucking essay on schlatt but he craves power and will do whatever it takes to get it. i love this whole thing

technically he never was the hero, this whole thing started with Wilbur making a drug van and framing sapnap with drug possession. after the l'manburg war he tried to set up a one party election with the knowledge that he was the only one that was running for president until he royally fucked up and quackity ran against him. After schlatt won the election he tried to assassinate him multiple times and decided to blow everyone up in the festival. he seems more like the true villain here honestly
lol if you watched the recent live streams, wilbur has stepped away from the button. He has sided with tommy and allows tommy to make the decisions. Wilbur is not insane anymore.

I think something that’s just, well if not overlooked in the animatics I guess just downplayed out of necessity, it’s Wilburs entire loss of empathy the moment tubo dies, it entirely breaks him and he comes away from the festival an entirely different person. provoking violence for his own amusement, laughing maniacally, and eventually after destroying lmanberg begging Phil to kill him. Wilburs character ark really is a tragedy, he makes this nice place and defends it in a war, only for it to be taken away and for him to be cast into higher and higher stakes, losing every time more and more, and then tubo dies, and he breaks, the stakes keep rising around him but it doesn’t matter anymore, the last thing to do is end lmanberg forever, dying by his father’s hand at his own casual insistence

He did it like, many times before this. They’ve always had odd sexual tension but that’s just schlatt with anyone

There wasn’t even any guilt when admitting to Nikki that he was going to let her die as collateral damage - if anything, his voice sounded as if he was caught in a life peasant daydream. He’s been broken. And he’s going to take everyone down with him.
I realized that too. You can literally pinpoint the time when all that was left of his sanity left him. After that, he just wants to end everything, just like you said, in a haze, a daydream. That's pretty sad, people say before that too he was a villain but I think he was an anti-hero until that point.

I honestly can't blame Techno really, he stalled for a solid few minutes and got no instruction from his friends, he was under pressure, and if he didn't kill Tubbo, the odds were not in his favor.

Techno does not know how to roleplay. The man was stalling as long as possible for a que from Wilbur or Tommy, didn't get anything, so followed Schlatt's lead - not becuse he was Prez, but because he was the strongest voice and roleplayer. He's TRYING HIS BEST GODDAMMIT!!!
Absolutely, my dude. And may I present the idea of if this crowd wasn't made of other players, but imagining an entire crowd of the random NPC citizens of Manburg. And Techno, upon killing Tubbo, went on a murder spree and killed a whole bunch of innocent bystanders, rather than the other people in the RP. Like. IMAGINE THAT SCENE. PERSONALLY, THAT MAKES IT 100x BETTER. A MASSACRE IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE COUNTRY WHILE SCHLATT AND QUACKITY ARE LEFT UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING WHILE THIS HALF-HUMAN/HALF-PIG GOD OF A CREATURE SLAUGHTERS THEIR CITIZENS IN HIS BLOODLUST.
and I get that he was powerful enough to kill everyone--because he did--but he didn't realize the extend of his power until he two-shotted Tubbo, Quackity, and Schlatt. After that, he realized he could massacre everyone, but he didn't know there was any chance at saving Tubbo before his potential was revealed at the expense of Tubbo.

Tommy and Tubbo are so loyal to eachother, like they would sacrifice their items for eachother
Right off the bat, Wilbur’s already playing his character’s mental state so well. And at 4:44, when Tommy gives him the Niki cake, you can see the moment of hesitation before his lost sense of self overtakes him again.
Also Tommy is doing so great as well. His characterization of having to grow up because the person he looked up to as his big brother is losing it was amazing. They are working so well together!
I watched Techno live. The whole time he was just saying “No chat, we’re just gonna do what Wilbur tells us.” The chat was spamming for him to do all kinds of things like “Run!” Or “Place whithers!” Or “Operation JFK!” But Ultimately Techno was just waiting for Wilbur to tell him what to do. All Wilbur had to do was to whisper something to Techno instead of Tubbo and all would have been fine, but instead Techno was left without any direction, and he did what the Blood God does.

I love how everyone in Pogtopia just labels Techno as a traitor when he had no instructions given to him. He was stalling for like 5 mins but no one acted. He betrayed no one, you dont blame the soldier for not acting, blame the commander for not giving them orders.

Exactly!!!! And you can see in his POV that he WAS in pogtopia's side. There are some details that i would like to mention: when, like you said, he was stalling and saying "tubbo, i think you are very hungry, lets go to the restaurant"; when tommy pearled and stabed him, but he did not stabbed him back; when tommy and techno was trying to scape after the massacre, you can hear techno whispering "tommy", like he wanted to help, but he couldnt, can he was also being chased; and, of course, when he protected wilbur during jschlatt speech
I know that they wanted to give techno the traitor character to make the story more interesting but like it won't make sense to do that. If techno only killed tubbo then yeah we can see him as a traitor, but he killed everyone in manberg. Wilbur was literally planning to do that in the beginning and he's calling techno a traitor? Bruuhhhhh. That just doesn't make sense story wise. Every story gotta have a functioning and understandable plot you know
