We traveled to Iceland in September for an unforgettable trip. This was my first opportunity to try out the new Mavic Pro 2 and I was not disappointed.
The video was shot on the Panasonic GH5. The video editing, colour correction and grading was done in Final Cut Pro X. The stabilisation was achieved using the DJI Ronin S. The drone footage was shot on the DJI Mavic Pro 2.
Finally, the soundtrack was composed to match the visuals, using Logic Pro X. The sound effects were recorded with a Zoom H6 and overlaid as part of the sound design.

Thank you Benjamin for a great compliment! I try to treat my drone as a "sky-tripod". I often to the same movement 3 or 4 times until I get the perfect composition. My drone footage of Iceland was over 300 GB and I only used a fraction of the shots.

Thank you John! The community feedback inspires me to do even better work! Not sure how I am going to top Iceland! I thought that New Zealand South Island would be as epic. Check out my Queenstown video. Unfortunately, there are LOTS of restrictions on where drones are allowed. Most places are National Parks!

Challenge accepted! I have a bunch of old gear that I am going to sell, and actually, have my eye set on the Black Magic Camera! I am also writing a whole bunch of new soundtracks that will go live on Spotify in 2019! So I will have lots of track to select from to create something even more spectacular! Thank you for the kind words and support! Just remember that the only way to get better is to DO! I only really started out a year ago but created 17 videos! Just keep creating and learn from others.

Nice! Did you use ND filters for your drone?
It was cloudy for most of the days, so an ND was not required.
Watch your white balance and exposure. Besides that, great video, beautiful country! Is 2:22 located near Þjófafoss? or somewhere else?
This is on the way to Landmannalaugar. It is called: Sigöldugljúfur. Check Google Maps satellite view to see where the canyon is. What a spectacular place and devoid of any tourists. Do you set your white balance manually for each condition?

Yes I try to, but I'm still learning. For example the shots at 4:25 - 4:29 are too magenta/warm. Especially compared to the shot right after at 4:31, which is properly balanced to my eye :)
I really struggled with matching those shots! The rest of the days were cloudy and then blue skies at Vestrahorn. To compound the issue I was combining the D-log Mavic 2 Pro footage and the GH5 footage shot in a standard profile...I would be better at this if I did not have a real job to contend with!

I was in iceland in sept too. Did not like the weather. MyCar Land Cruiser total was how much for how many days ?
The weather can be very unpredictable. One of the days was totally rained out for us. We were more fortunate other days.

Þjófafoss, Iceland, was really spectacular. It is not on the ring road and towards the highlands.

The location is: Fjaðrárgljúfur .Deep & winding river canyon, about 2 million years old, with a walking path & panoramic views. Well worth the visit! We went early one morning and there were no tourists around.
