Animals as Conductors
Animals as midis
Animals as politicians
hahaha, ded
Conductors as Animals
AeonsOfFrost LMFAO
RIP violin sections' forearms
This seems programmed
@@drummerrogue it probably is, but this doesn't stops you from imagining it XD
Luiz Nickel haha yeah.
Especially the fingers.
Lmao
I never realized how strong the sense of urgency there is in this song.
Wtf
why am I hearing that now?
This comment made me ask... What is "CAFO" and damn the urgency makes even more sense. Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations
Tosin Abasi must hear this.
He'd hate it cuz it is just MIDI.
@@rohanahlawat5809 still impressive to transcribe it all to MIDI and get it to sound this good
@@rohanahlawat5809 Yeah, this guy surely has the money to pay a full orchestra for a single cover
@@rohanahlawat5809 Tosin has said he likes all type of music (he even said he listens to pop music like Rihanna) so I highly doubt that he would "hate" it
Animals As Leaders - CAFO in D-jent Minor
Tuning for violins is DROP غ
Beleive its D-jent Major.. azfuk hehe
The song is in E major actually
Or sweep bowing
This just blew my fucking mind. Absolutely. Blew. My. Fucking. Mind. Tosin Abasi is a genius. Could you imagine if the great old composers heard this?
They'd figure music was dead hahahaha.
Their loss :)
Not sure if that'd be the case for everyone. :P
I love AAL as much as anyone but this music is still somewhat crude compared to famous orchestral composers. John Williams even now makes so much more interesting stuff for orchestra
PATRIOTxx3 that's totally a matter of opinion. See, I think tosin's composition is far more interesting to me than some compositions for orchestras
Gerardo Reyes
It's actually not a matter of opinion. Not completely anyway. Harmonically speaking the composers of the 20th century like Stravinsky, Bartok, Debussy and Ravel implemented very unusual harmonic ideas, even by today's standards. Key changes in just a matter of seconds in one movement of a piece, no pure major or minor tonality, instead they used Polytonality. Conjoining a major chord, with a minor chord or a dominant chord, combining melodies from two different key signatures, etc. Even in the rhythm department, Stravinsky's Le Sacre, Pieces for String Quartet, and Bartok's String Quartets among others have rhythms just as complicated as any AAL composition.
There's no accounting for taste obviously and it's fine to like them more but it's most likely a fact that had this song been written in musical notation paper and presented to most of those guys, they wouldn't be that impressed, which is what was being discussed.
*Headbangs in Italian*
I literally LOLed

that fuckin pun
Dude! 😂
JackBluebee made my day
please tosin has to hear this
Djentchestra
Al Pra I was the 200th person to like! It’s gonna be a good djenty day.
This would fit amazingly in any darksouls bossfight.
bloodborne 2?
I think it fits kingdom hearts boss battle music vibes really well
God damn... that bridge...
Synthesized or not, great work. Yes, a real orchestra would have been amazing, but this is absolutely fantastic; a wonderful recreation of a masterpiece.
I don't think the violin part would be playable, unfortunately...
Agreed. Also the harp part...
A real orchestra would fricken die if they tried to play this let's be honest here
Duuuude lmao as a classical music major and metal music player I'm absolute amazed by this
Why? A lot of metal is well suited for orchestra.
Ľubomír Kompiš Remember amazed =/= surprised. I think he was voicing his 'amazement' at the arrangement. Animals as leaders wrote the song, but transposition is more than a copy/paste job.
Good point.
Why would you waste your life on a classical music degree
As basically the exact same thing as u I would have to agree
You did a solid job on your instrument choice dude. This could of been a jumbled mess but you killed it. Props.
William Bristow could *have you stupid fuck
I DONT HAV H1N1: Hey, grammar Nazi: It's "I don't *HAVE* H1N1". Who's the stupid fuck now?
Brian Cicio I could only fit 15 characters into my gamer tag so I had to sacrifice a letter. Spelling it "have" just looks weird now.
@@idonthavh1n166 you’re not on your Xbox, son.
I believe these are all virtual instruments.
Still, this is a masterpiece 💯💯
*hears first 3 seconds*
"NOOO WAAYY!!!'
No way no way no waaaaaay!
I would pay real money for the entire first AAL album in this style. So good!
this is brilliant ..no joke i had tears of joy at 2:23 the transition is incredible same for 3:58 and 4:31 5:00 5:26 6:00
It sounds beautiful I know what you mean
same sir
gives me the 007 vibes
I had goosebumps at 4:31
Dude the winds of war sound is at 2:23
battle track for the next final fantasy
please
I never got that vibe from the original track but because of this version I can totally hear how fitting it would be
totally agree
Prog Ride same here.. it really fits well with an orchestral arrangement.
Jesus fuck, I would literally die happy.
Is it just funny how well metal ties in with Orchestra/classical? it's so complex and yet so beautiful.
Most other types of music don't explore the note choice or scales metal or classical live in.
This is probably the best orchestral cover of a metal song I've heard. Usually the orchestra goes off on a tangent with their interpretations of the piece, sometimes to the point to when it's unrecognisable, but this sounds spot on.
This is actually really well orchestrated... love the bass drum rolls, very well placed. As for the playability.... the first violin part in the main riff would be ridiculous and probably unplayable on the instrument, I think that kind of sostinuto pattern would be better placed in the upper winds or on piano. You might find success splitting it up between multiple instrument, like having the second violins playing the lower notes and having the first violins playing the upper notes.
get a real orchestra to play this!! i mean its great because it is great but it would brilliant if a full orchestra played it. Or just more dynamic contrast. sounds good though.
+Lorenzo Rizzardi Maybe they can't play it?
Kevin G nah there are definitely orchestras out there that can
+Kevin G AAL is cake compared to many classical pieces
+Kevin G AAL is cake compared to many classical pieces
+Lorenzo Rizzardi some of the parts are actually pretty utopic like the tapping riff that constantly moves between cellos and violins. for the notes to complement each other like that and for it still to be rhythmically understandable is reeeally hard. just saying the arrangement would probably need to be adapted a little in order to make it realistic. also not shure about the sweeps on violin/harp, seems really hard to play. definitely would take a world class orchestra to do this right.
I feel like I'm battling tosin's crazy hands on final destination XD
Did you know that few days ago Animals As Leaders actually played with symphony orchestra? Legit :D
Still can't believe that happened. Was astonished.
Unfortunately, the only recording on youtube sucks.
This is fucking intense, dude.
Man when everything drops at 2:55 and the chorded section comes in orchestrated it gave me goosebumps so bad it hurt. Amazing job on the cover
please Square Enix include this on your next game
Lauliet THIS
it needs to be in final fantasy 15 it just sound perfect x a million!!!!!!!
xDDDD
it will never happen after what they did
Yanick Lehmann you're dissapointed too, huh? jahaha
I sincerely hope you plan to make more of these
Definitely
@@askolovq9649 bro we need more!:)
I'd be interested to see if this could ever truly be arranged well for an orchestra
I honestly doubt it, not without some significant changes to this arrangement, a lot of this arrangement is either very difficult, or simply not possible. Those huge staccato rhythms from the brass would require iron lungs, the notes are very low and sound ffff in dynamics, which may or may not be physically possible. Coupled with the speed and how staccato the notes are, I doubt many players would be able to play it anywhere near clean enough to sound right, and it would be so loud nothing else would be heard over them. Those harp arpeggios may pose a problem too, since while it may not be too difficult in terms of technique, the thing with harps is that in order to change key you need to manually raise and lower individual notes of a scale with pedals, and since a lot of those runs have lots of modulations, there may or may not be enough time to switch keys. I'm not sure how easy it would be for a violinist to play that main arpeggio, as what works for a guitar tuned in 4ths may not be so idiomatic for a violin tuned in fifths (though it's still nothing compared to a Paganini caprice I'm sure). But even all that aside, a lot of these rhythms are far beyond what most orchestras are comfortable with, so expect it to take plenty of takes and plenty of money, and even then it won't be anywhere near as clean as precise as this video.
Joshua Connor its possible if trumpets are split still hard af tho
@@JoshuaConnorMusic nah dude im a trombone player and we live for this shit. The real issue is with string parts
@@anonym0usplatypus yeah the brass may be doable, but the biggest issue is with volume, even if those string parts were possible, you'd never hear it over the brass.
@@JoshuaConnorMusic also true. Listen to the end of Ein Heldenleiben. First of all its badass and its worth. Second of all the Cellos are working so damn hard and no one can hear them cause the brass are playing so loud and its the exact same kind of issue.
TRULY AWESOME....great arrangement, of the mighty "CAFO", which I have had the distinct PRIVILEGE of witnessing in person, earlier this year in Poughkeepsie N.Y. Long live Tosin Abasi, the KING of all new shred guitar!
Arthur Petersen the Chanceeeeeeeee
Lovely! The clarity makes this tune easier to dissect mentally and figure out how it works. Animals as Leaders tunes are always such beautiful puzzles that take a few listens to solve.
This gave me the chills and I got all teary eyed. W T F
I got all teary up and chills all over when I heard the trailer song for ori and the blind forest, it's great.
i was about to type something similar but just decided to like your comment
Same don't even know why
did anyone feel like star wars and middle earth battles happening at the same time ?! no? mmkay then
COMPLETELY DID
You're completely right it sounded like darth vader and aragorn charged towards each other hahaha
Visualize the Agri world of your choosing, the subject of a worldwide onslaught of Space marines as they kick aliens off the food supply of humanity. Welcome to Cafo
Should be on Smash Bros. 😏
This would be perfect for a smash bros medley holy fuck
This is what I imagine orchestral music could sound like in 100 years
This makes it seem like the song was initially created for an orchestral setting, truly epic!
This is one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard. I actually got teary eyed at how satisfyingly good this was. You should be proud!
This is so extremely well put together that I can’t even think of a significant enough way to put it into words.
I knew this had to exist.... holy shit yes...
3:16 beautiful choice
brutalvocalcovers this sounds like the movie terminator theme
T2 vibes
This is beautifully orchestrated! Maybe programming could be tighter and more organic but to me it sounds terrific as is.
The 8 bit version is better
thank you for sharing, you have to send it to Animals as Leaders band, try and see what they think man, its an awesome work.
What plugin is it?
+Reostarter
VST OF KONKANT, MAYBE.......
+Reostarter The plugin is Kontakt, but the thing that really matters is libraries, you put into it
+Askolov Q Thanks
so i think the question would be 'which libraries did u use'
East West Symphonic Orchestra?
Sounds like a soundtrack from an epic fantasy movie, no?
Спасибо огромное за кавер и за ссылку на flac! слушаю раз за разом с восхищением!
Metal Gear?
Man, i'd love it if you did this to more of their songs! I'd even pay to hear it
Yeah! Shut up and take my moneeey!
This is one of the most amazing things i've ever heard. There has to be more of this.
totally blown away! i liked the interpretation particularly because it will suit an orchestra quite well. the subtle alterations/additions made enhance its credibility as an orchestral piece.
Hey man, I'm a fellow Bangladeshi! Good to see you here. :)
Guys how do we make this happen?
I think it did happen?
By a computer
THANK YOU
The hands/muscles of human players would not stand those violin lines, specially the pizzicato sessions. It's too freakin fast.
LOL, you've got no idea about professional orchestra musicians. They are masters at their craft. Each of them is like a Tosin Abasi on their instrument.
This is definitely something i'd hear while fighting a Vex ultra on a Destiny raid. Too brutal.
+Robert Kerley XD Yesss!!!
+prinniesforeveryone Just cause you don't like doesn't mean it's bad.
Evan Larson just because you like it doesn't mean it's good lol
never realised what a masterpiece this song is until now.
Simplemente perfecto, hasta escalofríos me dio, excelente representación de la banda mas excelente, Animales As Leaders
You actually kept me listening to the whole song. This doesn't happen a lot these days. It's brilliant.
2:03 always gets me, it sounds absolutely epic and theatrical
Imagine if you're an instrumentalist and the conductor hands you the music for this.
Violinist: ".....what in the actual fuck do you want me to do?"
Violinist 2: "Jesus-FUCKING-christ I don't have enough fingers or arms for this!"
Cellos: "I CANNOT MOVE FAST ENOUGH FOR THIS!!!"
Harpist: "You do realize I have only two hands?"
Basoons & woodwinds: "I am going to pass out to this."
Brass: ".....no."
Percussion: "We've got this."
Note: I imagine the more difficult parts are divided up amoungst the various chairs to make it seem as though the notes are tied together properly. But still, I'd poop a gold nugget.
Rumors said that 2 violinist were rush to the hospital after the song was finish 😉
They're only rumours cuz this is all konakt.
Next: AAL and Orchestra Progonie. Some parts of it sound very Hans Zimmer, loving it!
MORE!! THIER ENTIRE DISCOGRAPHY!! GIVE IT TO US NOW!!....please and thank you.
Sounds like a theme in final fantasy series. A final boss fight theme.
Btw hands down to the orchestra great job!
imagine how powerful this would be live
I would shit myself of luck 😊🔥🤘🏿
Felt some FF3 but also alot of Link to the Past especially with the harps... astonishing work my friend Great job!
It's Animals as Leaders tho lol
Vow of Volition b4 when you get famous please come to Chicago! BTW your Archspire technique for the new HTWL up coming vid is Sicc as Fuk
Yeaaaah I mean the original song is a thing.... Even though with that I felt the same way about it- sounds like a boss battle. The actual song.
Why are you guys on every fucking video
Spoon Lord all hail the spoon Lord
legend says the violinists' arms are still twitching to this day after recording this
In-fucking-sane. Grown up playing alto sax and purcussion. Later moved towards guitar. Never head banged to a classical transposition. Hails to Tobin for his composition, and hails to the Chicago Youth Orchestra and Allen Tinkman for their transposition and interpretation.
Every first chair when handed this music, "WHAT IN THE HOLY BUTT FUCKIN CHOPIN ON METH WRITING WITH SCHUBERT ON LSD IS THIS?"
brilliant ♥
Please do more of these!! This was mindblowing!!!
dude this is insane
deserves a lot more views
Imagine the power of sitting there with a full orchestra playing this 20ft away from you. Absolutely bonkers.
sensacional, parabéns ficou espetacular, me arrepiei escutando esse cover. br
i'm so glad that this exists
Same dude, same
This is brilliant!!!!! They need to use this in a film 🎥
Good luck getting the quality of musicians it would take to record this live. This piece is rhythmic hell to perform and I can’t imagine how to approach conducting most this. Really well arranged though!
i was hoping this would be a live video :(
If some day a real orchestra play this song their instruments will start to set in fire in the first 30 seconds
makes me wish i had my violin back and it gives me some ideas for how this couldve been a little better. however, i realize the amount of work this took to compose and put together, so i think its amazing!
TheBunnygirl20 Yeah, you would've made it better...that's why you gave it up. Well beyond your comprehension you dumb beav.
This sounds so good! Do you plan on doing this for more songs? (hint hint: Tooth and Claw would be awesome!)
Cheers!
Tooth and claw is so uninteresting and overrated. Like physical education and tooth and claw are undoubtedly the most basic bitch AAL songs that exist. Those two songs are the maga hat of AAL',s library lmao
Kickass job! This would be awesome on an RPG. Tosin would enjoy I’m sure.
Enjoy this piece? Check out the original. Tosin Abasi is an amazing and very talented musician. The person that transcribed the song did an amazing job on an already amazing song.
dude. this is literally one of the greatest things i've ever heard.
I wonder if any of these ideas ended up making their way into the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra performance with AAL in 2018.
Que maravilha de conversão clássica foi essa? Digno do Maestro Nobuo Uematsu...
Wow this must have taken ages to compose man, great job! Sounds so real as well!
I love the concept the song and the choices you made!!! Really amazing!! I'm feeling that sometimes the tempo is not followed by everything, especially by 3:56. But maybe it's just me. Still awesome!
PLZ MOAR
this could be on purpose, because of the humanization of the whole thing. i think orchestras are not perfectly at tempo
think so too, sounded really great!
Lucas Gerth the tempo is good its just weirdly timed like the original
really love your works hope u do more of aal other song(wave of babies maybe??) and i suggest between the burried and me next
pls hehe
Epic. What more can be said?
As someone who loves symphonic music...
😍
Thank you for taking the time to do this. Gives a whole different perspective to the complexities of the song.
Stravinsky would be proud of our modern metal
This is actually really, really good.
Absolutely amazing! I don't know how conductors cover this type of stuff and make it sound so cool!
This gets a 'W' from me.
The instrument choice and clarity really works well
Wooaw, when i listen this, i just want work for realize my dreams, amazing song, one of the best i ever heard.
I like a reverb in this track, sounds like im sitting in a giant hall and whole orcestra plays forward me
This must have taken you AAAAAAGES!
ALL of the details from the original are there!
2:23 and forward had me in tears, beautiful
I thought this was an orchestral playthrough but I'm genuinely NOT disappointed!
4:28 --> nice :-D so fun to hear this in a classical style.
Skyrim final battle
Is this for real or is this fantasy? In 2020.
Crazy how i jam this album when i played final fantasy 4-6 for the first time years back. So epic and full of soul
Hit this by accident my finger hit the button but yeah I happen to really love this song and these guys just killed it so perfectly! AAL will definitely appreciate this when they hear it no doubt.
